Kendall POV
Why would I even tell her I cared for her? What is happening to me? I'm letting my guard down too much and for too long, this needs to stop.  I thought about dropping the contract to get Katelyn's art studio back to her, but if I did that, it would be just out of anger. In fact, it was a win win for me because my dad wasn't paying that much for it, so it left me to get this huge mansion and still be able to win the art studio. My phone started ringing. I took it out of my pocket and and answered.

"Yes? What is it Anderson?"  He chuckled, "Ah yes Mr. Schmidt we got the art studio, your dad refused to pay more than what he had already on the table." I sighed in relief. "Thanks Anderson, now I have to go. Drop the paperwork off later, yeah?"

"Absolutely." I nodded, "Great, great. Talk soon." I hung up the phone and put it on a nearby table. I turned on the TV a while and then my phone rang again. "Ugh, what now?" I answered the phone in annoyance. "Hello?" I heard a giggle over the phone. "Kaylie? How'd you get my mom's phone?" Kaylie, is a girl that my mom took in just a year ago, but Kaylie always saw her as a grandma rather than mom. I never get to see her much, but my dad calls her from time to time, that's her "grandpa". At least he was decent enough to call her his own, because he sure didn't me. "Grandma wants to ask you something."

"Put her on the phone please." I heard shuffles and giggling. "Kendall?"

"Yes mom?" She sighed, "Can you keep Kaylie please for about...a year?" I literally jumped off the couch. "You said how long?" She sighed, "I need you to keep her for a year because I have to be in England, for a year, for my job."

"Why can't you ask dad to do it?" She chuckled, "I would rather have you than Kyle Francis Schmidt." I shivered at the sound of my dad's full name. God I hate that I have the same middle name as him. "O-ok mom I will." She squealed, "Ah thank you son, can you put her on your private jet?" I rolled my eyes.

"Of course, when do you want her to come?" She went silent and then I heard her breath. "Tomorrow please, can your jet be ready by then?"

I hit the couch arm, "Of course mom." Don't get me wrong, I like Kaylie, I even consider her family. She's the only person that can put the beast inside of me to sleep, but she's a kid and she's going to be a huge responsibility. Let alone a kid, she's a girl and girls have stuff that happens that guys don't. Oh cut it Kendall, she's not going to live with you for the rest of your life. I know, I know.

"I can't wait to see her." The line shuffled. "And I can't wait to see you Kendall." I chuckled, "Bye Kaylie." I put the phone down and got up. I put my hands on my face and sighed.

I picked up the phone and called my hangar. "Yeah, it's me. I need the jet ready to take off and land in Kansas to the nearest airport to Wichita at noon. Make sure you're on time. My mom is bringing a little girl out to the plane, so be ready when she gets there." I hung up. I looked around.

I had 11 bedrooms in this house, I guess she can pick when she gets here. All the colors, carpet, bed spread and crap I don't know about. I had to focus on her for the next few weeks to make sure she's comfortable and settled. Ugh I feel like I'm turning into a dad.

I untucked my shirt and headed upstairs to go to bed. I yawned and yet again, another phone call. "I have never been this famous in my life before, why now?" I looked at the caller ID. "Katelyn." I ran my hand through my hair debating if I should answer or not.

It was too late, the call ended. Not even a second later did I get a text. "I'm sorry how the other night went, I didn't mean to upset you." I scoffed. I walked into my room. "I think I'm a little past upset Tarver," I said as I stretched my arms. I took my clothes off except my boxers and went to bed.
