Chapter Six everybody.

Kendall POV

Brad. Brad. Brad! That's all I ever hear is the name Brad. What the hell was he up to? "K-Kendall?" I looked at Kaylie, she was hiding behind the wall leading to the living room. My little argument with Katelyn scared.

"Kaylie, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to scare." I went over and picked her up. She laid her head on my shoulder. "Who's Brad?" She asked. I sighed and brought her to the couch.

"Brad is my cousin, but he's not a good person." She frowned, "But he's your cousin." I nodded, "I know, but he's a bad person." She nodded, "How so?"

"Don't worry about that, I'll explain it to you someday. Ok?" She smiled, "Ok." I ran my hands through my hair. "She's not with him, they're just going to dinner. Just going to dinner. Nothing more, nothing more." Kaylie stood. "Why do you care so much?" I shrugged, "That's the same question I asked myself over and over again."

I have already come to the conclusion that Katelyn and I were better off friends, even if we still fight, than together in a relationship. I can't deny that I care about Katelyn a lot, maybe that's the reason that I continue to pull Katelyn back...to me. I have to call her and make sure there's nothing going on. I have to.

She's already in too deep with him if she's going to dinner. I dialed Katelyn's phone number. It rang and rang. She's never going to answer. Why would she? "What?" I sighed in relief. "Katelyn, listen I know, I know, I just got done shouting in your face, I know, but you're just going to dinner with Brad right, nothing more." She sighed.

"Nothing more, he just offered to take me to dinner. I don't plan on getting in a relationship with him." I sat down. "Why?"

"Because when we were married you told me how bad he was and you were adamant for me to talk to him." I smiled small. "The first time you actually listened to me huh?" She laughed, "Yeah..."

"So where's he taking you?" She went quiet. "So you can come and sabotage my dinner either or watch my dinner?" I looked around. What is she talking about? "You got it Katelyn. I just need a date now."

******

"Come on Kaylie, you and I have a date tonight." She ran down the steps. "I put on my dress." I smiled, "And you look beautiful." I had my suit on and Kaylie had on her dress that matched my tie. She insisted. I grabbed her hand. "I'm taking you somewhere fancy, so please, be on your absolute best, bestest behavior. Please, for me?" She kissed me on the cheek. "Ok Kendall."

I smiled and put her in the limo. "Drive." We soon arrived at the restaurant and I gave them my reservation.  "Right this way," the man said in a French accent. "Everything is gold." I nodded. "Yeah Kaylie, it's pretty fancy." The waiter led us to a table. It was four tables over from Katelyn and Brad.

"Perfect," I whispered. I helped Kaylie into her seat and I sat down across from her. "Get anything you want Kaylie, but save room for dessert." I looked over at Katelyn and Brad. They were chatting until Katelyn saw me and her eyes widened a little, but not enough for Brad to notice. I smirked.

"Something to drink?" I looked up at the waitress. Man she was hot. "Um, I'll have your most expensive wine." She smiled and nodded. "Kaylie?" She looked up at her. "Water please." I furrowed my eyebrows, "You sure?" She nodded. The waitress winked at me and went to get our drinks.

I haven't been flirted with in forever, I remember how fun it is, but we have to keep it PG for Kaylie. The waitress came back with the water and wine. "Thank you very much." She nodded and walked away. "You know what you want Kaylie?" She shrugged, "It's all so fancy looking. Nothing looks fun."
