Kendall POV
I looked at the road and nothing else. I didn't look left and right because if I looked right, I would see Kaylie and at the moment, I'm really pissed off at her. She hasn't said a word to me since we got into the car. I could feel her looking at me from time to time, but she never said a word.
I pulled into the garage and got out the car. I opened the door and went into the house. Kaylie took her coat off and hung it on the hook. She was about to go upstairs.
"Not so fast." She stopped what she was doing and slowly turned around. She took her time coming down the remaining steps. I looked dead straight at her, my eyes were probably burning into her soul haha.
I sat on the arm of the couch. "You ran away from home; I didn't know where you were." She looked up at me. "You aren't dumb Kaylie, why would you do something like this?!" She was about to cry.
"Because I wanted to go to Build A Bear," she whispered. I chuckled darkly. "Why did you not tell me? I would have taken you, Kaylie." She shrugged, "You never like Build A Bear anyway, so I didn't think you'd take me. I'm sorry."
"You had me damn near worried sick Kaylie! I thought something happened to you! You should have never ever gone out there without me Kaylie! YOU KNOW THAT!" She jumped back.
"You don't have to yell!" She said. I stood up.
"Apparently I do because you don't listen to well when I don't! Go up to your room and I don't want to see you for the rest of the night!" She balled her little fists up.
"Fine Kendall! I won't and I don't want to stay here! Ever!" She ran up to her room.
"Oh so I'm not your daddy anymore?!" I sighed and sat down. "My life..."
*Ring* *Ring* my phone rang. "Hello?" I said.
"Oh hello dear, how are you?" My mother. I put on a weak smile.
"I'm fine Mother, how are you?" She chuckled.
"I'm absolutely great because I have excellent news!" I furrowed my eyebrows.
"What?"
"I'm coming back home?! Oh and put Kaylie on your plane in two days." My heart sank.
"Um, oh ok. That's great you're coming home."
"Are you ok Kendall?" I closed my eyes.
"I am perfectly fine, I'll have Kaylie ready, but I have to go." I hung up the phone.
The current situation Kaylie and I were, there is no way she'd want to continue staying with me. I ran my hands through my hair and walked up to Kaylie's room. I opened her door and she was sitting on the middle of the bed with her teddy bear.
I sat down on the edge of the bed.
"I don't want to talk to you Kendall." I nodded.
"I know. Grandma is coming back in two days, so you have to get on the plane in two days and go back home." She froze.
"Really?" I nodded. She looked at me.
"I'm sure you wanna go back home...right?" She hesitated, but nodded.
"You're not mad are you?" I shook my head.
"No, I just don't want you to leave being mad at me." She nodded.
"I'm still mad at you, I don't want you to be my daddy." I looked down.
"Whatever you want Kaylie, I still love you, and I hope one day you let me be daddy again." She nodded. I got up and walked out the door. I leaned my head on the door and sighed.
"This is going to be a rough few days." I to my room and went to sleep.
The next morning I woke up and went downstairs. Kaylie was watching TV. I looked at her and she looked back. "Good morning Kaylie."
"Morning." She looked back to the TV. I sat next to her. "Come on, let's get packed up." She followed me to her room and we started boxing things up.
"I'm going to miss you Kaylie, you know that right." She nodded and then came over to hug me.
"I may not call you daddy anymore, but I still love you." I smiled.
"I'm sorry you don't want me to be your daddy...at the moment, but when you're not mad at me. I'll be waiting for you, you'll always be my daughter."
******
I waved to her as she got on the plane. "Bye Kaylie." She waved back, tear marks on her face.
"Call me when you get home." She nodded and stepped on to the plane.
I watched as half of my heart, literally flew out my life.
What'd you guys think? Hope you like it. Until Next Time.
