Katelyn POV
I put on my dress clothes on because Kendall was taking his father to court today. Kendall came out wearing navy suit. He start fiddling with things, he tries to play off his nervousness, but I know inside he is going insane. I walked over and put my hands on his chest.
"Don't be so nervous, you have everything together." I kissed his cheek.
"I know, I know, my father is just unpredictable, I mean he's gonna go to jail when they find out he embezzled money, for sure." I nodded.
"It'll be all ok, I promise." I grabbed his hand and walked downstairs. Kaylie was in her dress waiting on the couch. She was thrilled when she found out that Kendall and I were back together.
"Come on Kaylie." Kendall said. He grabbed her hand and Holden was right behind us. He was wearing a dress shirt, black jeans and Jordan's. He hates to dress up. We all got into Kendall's limo and went to the court house.
"Kaylie, when we get the car, I want you to stay with me, so the cameras don't see you ok?" She nodded. "Got it." The limo came to a stop and a few seconds later the driver opened the door. Kendall picked up Kaylie and blocked her from cameras and press.
We walked in and saw Kendall's father. Kendall paid no attention and sat Kaylie down. "Daddy, that's grandpa." He face palmed himself. "Damn it, I shouldn't have brought her-."
"Kaylie!" Kendall's dad cut him off. She ran into his arms and hugged him. He put her down and he looked at Kendall. "You sure you wanna do this son?"
"I'm very positive, who are you gonna give your business to then? Brad probably." He shook his head, "I know you don't want the business, but it would be wrong of me to give Brad my business. I'm gonna give the keys to you."
Kendall smiled, "You might as well give em' now." His dad shook his head. "Don't think so. What could you possibly have against me?" A lady came out. "Court is now in session." We walked in and I sat down with Kaylie next to me and Holden.
Kendall went to the plaintiff side and his dad wet to the defendant. The judge came in and sat down. "Court is now in session everyone." The judge sat down and looked over the papers. "Kendall Schmidt?" I stood up. "You are claim that Kyle Schmidt, took the money out of you bank account that he had no authority doing. Correct?"
"Yes, your honor." The judge continued. "And you also have some things would like to show to the court later. Correct?"
"Yes, your honor." He sat down. "Kyle Schmidt?" His dad stood up. "Your defense says that you did not take Kendall Schmidt's money. Correct?"
"Yes, your honor." The judge nodded. "Alright, plaintiff. Do you have proof that your father indeed took money out of your account?" Kendall's lawyer gave papers to the bailiff. The judge took them and looked. "As you can see your honor, it clearly shows you that this transfer was made by the defendant. Also, the paper says it is only to be accessed by the plaintiff."
The judge looked toward Kendall's dad. "Defendant, how in the world could you have gotten this money? Bribery? I think so."
"Your honor, that's a bit of a strong statement." Kendall's dad's lawyer said. "It's not a strong statement, it's a true statement. Anything else you would like to say about this?"
Kendall's dad and his lawyer looked at each other. "No your honor." He sat down. "Plaintiff, is there something you would like me to see?" Kendall's lawyer nodded. "Yes, there is your honor." His lawyer gave the folder to the bailiff. The bailiff took it and handed it to the judge.
The judge scanned through. "Well, well Mr. Schmidt you have been doing some very, very illegal activity. Embezzling money?"
"Objection!" Kendall's dad's lawyer said. "Oh? Really? Would you like to see? It clearly shows Mr. Schmidt taking money." His lawyer looked at him and Kendall's dad looked down.
"Well I have seen all I needed to see. You clearly have taken the plaintiff's money and you have done illegal activity. You will be held in custody until I figure out how much time you will do." The judge slammed down the gavel.
Kendall stood up and looked toward his father. "Well done son, you've caught me. Got me red handed. Here are the keys if you ever have any interest in taking over the business. Oh and here." He handed him his bank number. "Take your 2 billion dollars back, and your house."
Kendall took the paper and put it in his pocket. He put the keys in his other pocket. Kaylie got into his arms. "Come let's go." He grabbed my hand and Holden walked behind us.
We got into the limo after battling cameras. "You have 2 billion dollars Kendall?!" Holden said. Kendall waved his hand. "It's not that much." Holden opened his mouth slightly. We went back to my house. We went inside.
"Now we can just all relax, don't worry about anything else." Kendall came over to me. "Thank you for coming with me Katelyn, it means a lot." I smiled.
"I wouldn't miss it for the world." He opened his arms and embraced me. "Thanks for putting up with my bull. I don't know what I would do without you."
"Now I have to move my stuff back to the house." He sighed. "I'm gonna go call the movers and tell them to move our stuff back."
"Aw you're leaving me," I said. "Yeah I'm leaving you, but you can always come over with me, and stay, hang out...make out." I slapped his chest.
"I'm sure you'd like that wouldn't you?" He smirked and nodded, "You know me so well, Katelyn." He turned toward the stairs.
"Kaylie, baby it's time to go." A few seconds later I heard soft tapping coming down the stairs. "Say bye to Katelyn." She came over and gave me a hug. "Bye Katelyn," she said.
"Bye Kaylie." Kendall came over and kissed me. "I'll see you later." He squeezed my hand and then walked out the door.
I watched them leave then I turned to walk upstairs. Holden was blocking the way. "So are you guys, like together again?" I thought then smiled. "Yeah, something like that." He nodded slowly.
"Don't let him get to you like that again, if he does. I'll kick his butt." I chuckled. "Thank you Holden."
I sat down on the couch.
"What to do now?"
