Chapter Nine ~ The Bad News

**This Chapter is back to being told in Skye's P.O.V...**

                           The warm summer breeze hit my face as I lay there. But where was I? I was afaid to open my eyes because it felt like this was all going to end. I felt so realaxed and calm.

                  I could feel the presence of someone beside me . Who? Was it Nick? No ... It wasn't... it was someone else... I opened my eyes ... only to see him...

                It was Zane... "Skye," he smiled. "You're finally awake." "Zane? What are you doing here?" I asked confused. "I'm here to see you ofcourse..." He said grabbing a strand of my hair and playing with it.

                I pulled away. "Don't touch me." I glared at him. "But why?" He smiled pulling me closer. Close enough that I could feel his breath on my face.

               I wanted him to kiss me again. Last time we kissed it was amazing. He laughed. "Your thinking about me ... I know you are ..." He smiled. "What! No!" I blushed. He laughed again.

               Then ... he leaned in and kissed me softly on the lips. Even before he pulled away my heart was racing ... then one thought came to my head .... NICK. I know I wasn't dating him or anything but it felt like I was cheating on him...

             "No ... Zane I can't ..." I said avoiding his gaze. "Why?" He questioned pulling my face back towards his. He hazel eyes were full of love. He leaned in again. I couldn't resist... our lips were almost touching and then ......

                          I woke up...

                 ***End of Dream***

           I woke up only to see Nick sleeping in the chair next to the bed. Where was I ? The ... infermary... The last thing I remember was getting attacked ... then I heard people yelling and talking... then I woke up here.. 

         Nick opened his eyes. He saw me and smiled. "Skye .. you awake finally.. I thought I had lost you!" A tear ran down his cheek and he pulled me into a hug...

        "What happened to me?" I asked confused. Nick looked down. "You were attacked ... by a werewolf." "How long have I been out?" "Two weeks." 

        Nick still didn't look up. "What wrong .. you don't have to be sad... I'm fine." I smiled. He finally looked up... tears in his eyes. "Skye... it's not that. It's Candy .. her and I are kinda a thing now."

        "Oh." was all I could say. It was silent for a few min. "....How?" I could feel the tears in my eyes. "While you were out ... she comferted me .. and then after that .. it just kinda happened... I'm sorry .. I'll just leave now..." He got up.. and left the room. After he closed the door the tears just started comming.

       Why would he do that to me ...? It's just not fair. I cried even more. He chose Candy over .. me ? I thought he liked me ...?

       I closed my eyes laid back and let everything sink in. The door opened and someone came in ... I pretended to sleep .. I didn't feel like talking to anyone at the moment.

       That person grabbed my hand. I couldn't stand it anymore ... I had to open my eyes. It was Baylor and ... Libby?  They were together... Wow .. I really missed alot. 

        "Hey Skye.. It's great that your finally awake." He smiled .. so did Libby. "Hey .. are you okay? What happened? Why are you crying?" Libby asked worried.

        " It's Nick .. he told me that ... he's dating Candy now... after he took me out on a date and kissed me.." I cried even more now.

        Libby's eyes went wide ... and Baylors face went blank. I think he was mad though. "Thats it! I'm gonna --" "NO!" I yelled cutting him off. "Don't do anything to him ... I mean it was his choice..." I tried to stop crying but it didn't work. 

         What surprised me more was Libby comming over to give me a hug. "Awww... it's okay sweetie ... you can do much better then him." She comferted me.

        "Hey Baylor can she come with us to your concert tonight?" Libby said looking at Baylor. "Yeah !" He smiled. "It would be great if you came." he smiled.

        Lucius walked into the room at that moment. "Hey c'mon Baylor we gotta get ready for the concert." He said. Then he looked at me. "And who might this beautiful young lady be?" He smiled seductively. 

          "I'm Skye." I smiled the best I could .. cause I was still sad. His eyes widdened . "So .. your the Skye everyone's talking about... Your just as beautiful as everyone says." He reached out and touched my cheek. Something about Lucius creeped me out. 

         Baylor could tell I was getting uncomferterable. "Ummm ... Okay ... Lucius lets go! See your girls tonight." Libby ran and kissed him good-bye. 

         They were gone. "So when can I leave?" I asked Libby. "Umm ... the docter said you could leave whenever you wanted. "Okay then ... I wanna get outta here... lets go!" "Okay!" She smiled.

          You walked around and talked for about an hour and Libby seemed like a really nice girl. "So I guess I will see you at the concert tonight." I smiled.

           "Yeah I will see you there . Heres my # just in case you need anything." She handed me a piece of paper.

           "Bye Libbs!" I smiled. "Bye babe." She smiled back walking away.

           I headed back to my room to get ready ... but when I got there I saw....
