Sam POV

"Sammy, please don't be sad. You know I already hate that I have to do this. Don't make it worse." I could feel Dean's words piercing through my skin as I moped out the window of his 1967 Chevy Impala. I shrugged lightly and pulled my blue hood over my shaggy hair. My brother sighed and turned back to the road.

I knew I was being kind of a bitch to him, but it's not like I was exactly in the best position. Sure maybe Dean had left the school a few years ago but every first day went like this. Sadly I was still a junior and had two years left but still, public school fucking sucks. Especially since the boy who had helped me by being my translator had graduated last year, so they had to give some random guy who knew sign language all of my classes and assigned him as my new translator.

Dean pulled up to the front of the school. "Make sure you go by the office to meet your new translator, and stay away from those assholes, alright?" I nodded to my older brother and grabbed my backpack. I went to open the door when Dean grabbed my arm and said, "And Sammy?" I turned to see Dean smiling sadly at me. "Try to make some friends, okay?" I nodded and signed, I'll try. Dean let me go and I opened the door and walked into the building.

The hallways were crowded as usual. People hugging their friends after not seeing each other for two months, stuff like that. I made my way to the front office. When I entered, the only person there was the redheaded secretary, Ms. Noble. She was on the phone, so I was left to wait. "Doctor, I can't go right now!" She said into the phone. She paused for a moment while a man talked fast on the other end. "Well why can't you get Rose or Martha to help you?" She paused again. "I'm at work, Doctor! Look, I have to go. Bye." Ms. Noble turned to me.

"Sam Winchester, right?" She asked, smiling kindly. I nodded awkwardly and she shuffled through her filing cabinet. She handed me a schedule. "Your translator should be here in a moment." I nodded and sat down to wait. Why the hell do I have to have some annoying teenage boy follow me around and translate what I say? Why can't everybody just carry a sign language book around? Why can't everybody just leave me alone? Why can't- oh. Holy shit. He's gorgeous.
