Sam POV

After the incident in the hallway, I didn't go to school for a few days. Gabriel stayed with me for the first day, but after that he had to go back. Dean took up an extra shift at the auto shop where he worked so that Mom could stay with me.

I felt bad about making them change their schedules, but I knew that it had to be done. I hadn't had a panic attack that bad in almost two years. Usually the flashbacks only lasted a few seconds and didn't happen often.

After almost a week, I was ready to go back to school. Mom was still worried about the boy bothering me again, but Gabriel showed up at my house the morning that I went back to school and reassured her that the boy had been suspended and he would be with me at all times.

There was some whispering when Gabriel and I walked into the school, but he shot glares at everybody who looked my way. He even grabbed my hand at one point (which totally didn't make me blush) and didn't let go until the day had ended. I texted mom and asked her if I could stay with Gabriel after school. (She agreed immediately, she said she was happy that we were talking again)

We went to the same picnic table where he called me his best friend for the first time. He walked me through the homework I missed. He sat so close to me that our shoulders bumped every time we moved. I blushed at every contact we had. I knew exactly what all these signs meant, and felt slight dread as I thought about it.

No, I cannot have a crush on my best friend. No no no no no. This was bad, bad news. It wasn't like it was impossible. Gabriel had a light, carefree attitude that made him likable to anybody. His long golden hair looked really soft-

Pull yourself together, Sam. I scolded myself. He could never like you. He probably isn't even gay.

I thought back to when we almost kissed. He ran off and stopped talking to me. That kiss almost destroyed our friendship. There was no way an amazing person like Gabriel could ever like a tall awkward mute like me. It wasn't going to happen. I would just have to push the feelings down and ignore them.

"Earth to Sammy."

A snap in from of my face made me jump. I turned towards Gabriel with a blush on my face. "You okay? You zoned out on me." I nodded and signed, I'm fine. Do you want to head back to my house? We can get food and come up with plans to get Dean and Cas together.

Gabriel grinned and nodded. We both packed up our work and started walking back to my house. Gabriel handed me one of his earbuds and I took it, placing it in my ear and grinning at his song choice.

I do not know why I would go
In front of you and hide my soul
Cause you're the only one who knows it
Yeah you're the only one who knows it

I turned to look at Gabriel and he smiled sheepishly. My heart did fifteen backflips.

I was surprised to see Cas's car parked outside of our house, and by the look on Gabriel face, so was he. But that was hardly a surprise compared to what we found when we walked in.

Dean and Cas were laying on the couch.

Making out.

"HOLY SHIT."

They both looked up when Gabriel yelled. Both of them turned bright red and moved away from each other.

"HOW THE FUCK DID THIS HAPPEN?"

Cas winced at Gabriel loud tone. "He invited me over to talk, and then one thing led to another and it just happened."

"SO ARE YOU BOYFRIENDS NOW?"

Dean replied, "Yes, now please stop yelling."

"I DONT THINK I CAN."

I laughed silently and dragged Gabriel out of the room.
