O.M.G. I can feel my cheeks burning. I can't help but smile at him.
"Good morning, beautiful."
He just made my birthday a whole lot better.
"Good morning, Matt!"
He smiles wide at me and takes my hand, which is currently covered in pancake mix.
"What do you need me to do?"
I roll my eyes in his direction. "Well first I need you to let go of my hand so I can finish making pancakes."
With a little persuading, he lets go.
"Want me to make some bacon?" he asks kindly.
I am a little taken back my his willingness to help out. I guess he already understands that here, you either help make your meal or you don't get a meal.
He puts some bacon on a skillet and we work in companionable silence until the breakfast bell rings.
"Let's go. I'll serve to the older kids and you'll serve to the little ones."
He nods, "Okay!"
I'm walking through the kitchen doors when a strong wave of dizziness hits me. Dark spots cloud my vision, and the last thing i hear is the thud of my body against the cold stone floor.
