"Matt! Hi!!!!" I say.
He stands three feet away from my hospital bed, mouth hanging open.
Then he comes rushing to my side.
"Christina!!!!! You remember me!?!?!??"
"Um...yes. Of course."
He then explains everything that happened today.
Now I'm the one with my mouth wide open.
"Wow." I say, still in shock.
"Yeah," he says solemnly,"I really thought I was going to lose you. I don't know what I would've done."
I feel my cheeks heat up.
"Thanks for saving me, Matt." my voice breaks alittle bit. If he wasn't there....
He must be able to read my thoughts. He just says, "Chris, let's not think about it anymore, okay? It's a miracle you're even alive." he says without hesitation.
Well then. That was blunt.
He continues talking to me, "The doctor said for you to rest, physically and mentally."
"Okay." I mumble.
But the gears have already started turning. I need to know why this is happening to me.
I will find out, no matter what.
