Chapter 10

Bekie's Point Of View

We dance alone tonight because, we dance to a different disco honey.

I laughed at Xavier, Maddie, Sammy and Teaka just sitting there on Jasmine’s couch still in shock; Okay so we forgot to tell them but it’s not like we go around bragging that we know Short Stack, I have my doubts the boys would appreciate that. Jasmine walked over to them on the couch and they all stood up.

“Bradie, Andy, Shaun and… Shaun” Jasmine began to introduce them and we all laughed at her saying ‘Shaun’ twice.

“Jumpnow” he corrected as we all giggled.

“Sorry, Jumpnow” she said looking at him trying not to laugh. “This is Maddie, Teaka, Sammy and Xavier” Jasmine said and they all exchanged hi’s and hellos.

“So what are you guys up to today?” Andy asked.

“Actually today is band practise” I spoke with a smile before anyone else could.

“Band practice? I didn’t know you were in a band..” Andy said confused.

“No only Xavier, Sammy, Maddie and Teaka and the newest addition Kiwi are in a band called Forever Yours, we just join in with the moshing.” I said to clear to things up.

“Oh okay, well can we hear them play?” Bradie asked, seeming interested.

“Uhm it’s up to them I suppose.” I answered. We all just looked at them waiting for a response.

“I guess so” Maddie smiled.

“Sure why not” Xavier said looking at the others. They began to set up, Xavier taking his place at the drum kit, Sammy behind her keyboard, Maddie and the microphone while Teaka and Kiwi grabbed their guitars and started to play. We were jumping around like always while the boys just stood their talking to each other as they watched the band. I stopped jumping where I was and walked over to Andy grabbing his hand. I pulled him over to the others and started to move again and Andy joined in. We were going crazy with the music blasting through our ears and soon the rest of the boys jumped in and around with us. When they finally finished pracitcing and we’d stopped jumpping around like mad, we started talking about their new songs and how good Kiwi fit into with them; I noticed Shaun, Andy and Bradie were all whispering to themselves a bit on the other side of the room. Jasmine was the closest to me so I tapped her and nodded in their direction. They noticed we were watching and walked over to us all.

“Forever Yours, would you please be a supporting band for our next tour?” Shaun asked. We all just stood there with widened eyes staring at Shaun.

“Are you serious?!!” Kiwi shouted, causing all eyes to fall on her.

“Yes, very serious” he smiled.

“Uh that would be awesome. What do you guys think?” Xavier said looking at the others.

“Uhm sure” Maddie said, trying to hide her excitement.

“Yes! That would be the best thing ever!!” Teaka said adding to the excitement around the room.

“Oh my god this is too good to be true.” Sammy said flashing her big and perfect smile. We were all so happy for Forever Yours, this would really help them get more known, they would be supporting my most favourite band in the world! We were all having fun disscussing things they’d need to get done before touring, then Andy and I were messing around saying Liz and Jumpnow should go on a date because they seemed to like each other. Liz went all red in the face and Jumpnow just sat there in silence, causing us all to laugh. Then out of the blue there was a knock on Jasmine’s front door, all of us quickly becoming silent. Jasmine got up to answer the knocking. As she flunge open the door, Paris gasped turning whiter then a sheet of paper. There was a strange man standing there, he was tall with dark black hair hiding his face. He looked about 19 or 20 which I thought was a little strange because Paris was only 17, but I guess that’s okay, so I stayed silent.

“Can I please speak to Paris?” he asked with a deep voice, his hair falling into his eyes as he spoke to Jasmine. Paris got up to her feet and slowly went outside to the strange man, while Jasmine came back and sat with us.

“Hey isn’t that her ex? The one she wont talk about?” I asked Jasmine, Shaun glared at me.

“mmm I think so..” Jasmine said with a blank expression on her face. Paris soon poked her head in the door.

“I’m going home, I’ll call you later” she said with a quiet tone. She had the scaredest look on her face and I became worried.

“Are you okay?” I asked her. She nodded and went to leave.

“Be safe” Shaun called out to her, looking worried himself.

She smiled what could only be a fake smile, “Always” she spoke as she walked away, getting into the strange man’s car and driving away.
