Lila's p.o.v

"Here" Chris said as he rolled his watch onto my right arm. I grinned at him before looking down and watching the second hand ticking around the watch, counting down the seconds.

Chris and I were now sixteen years old. It wasn't as exciting as what I thought it would be but I did feel older. It was now January 24th and Chris and I had been a couple for just over two months. We had returned to our spot to celebrate our anniversary and watch the stars as it was dark. Though Piper had told us we had to be back by 10:30. We had both rolled our eyes at this, especially since it was the weekend now.

"Are you sure? I mean ever since Leo gave you this watch you've never taken it off" I frowned at him. It was true, ever since Leo gave him the watch for his tenth birthday and he hasn't taken it off, except to shower. Chris shrugged at me.

"Well I figured that you should have it since I love you and the watch. It only makes sense that the most important person in my life should have my most prized possession" he said and I grinned before putting my arms around his neck and kissing him slowly. He fell back with me on top of him. I moved my position so that I was straddling his hips. He rested his hands lightly on my waist and rubbed circles on the fabric. I felt the sparks coming from his skin and each round made my skin hotter. Yeah the sparks were still there even after two months and they had gotten more powerful each time we held hands or kissed.

Chris smiled against my lips and I pulled back before pecking his cheek and rolling off him. He put his arm around my back and I put my head on his chest before wrapping my right arm around his torso. He twined his fingers with mine on top of his stomach. I smiled and closed my eyes.

Everything had been perfect so far. Within two weeks of signing to Gold Records we had sung songs for them and were releasing a single next week. The single would be Sparks Fly, which had made Chris and I laugh lightly as we learned this. Things were also going great between us. It wasn't awkward at all and we really cared about each other, even more so now we were more than friends. Although we got teased somewhat badly by his family. Wyatt, Melinda and Billie were the worst and made it part of their job to say at least five things as soon as we got up. But it didn't affect me anymore. I finally had Chris and that was all that mattered to me.

The only thing that happened since we vanquished Josh, was that Terri had moved school and Justin no longer hung out with us. Which meant we'd had to find a new drummer. Luckily Melinda's new boyfriend could play the drums and so he had agreed to step in, even if he was two years younger than us. It turns out that Melinda has friends in the grade above hers, and these friends had introduced them. Did I mention he's one year older than her?

"You okay?" I said and lightly squeezed his fingers that were twined with mine.

"Yeah of course I am" he said and I looked at him. He smiled before kissing my head, but I wasn't satisfied. "-why did you ask?" he said. I shrugged.

"You just seem really quiet lately, and sort of distant" I replied while watching his face for a reaction. He frowned before shrugging.

"Just been thinking a lot lately" he said and looked at me. I panicked slightly and he must've saw so from my face, "-it's nothing for you to worry about though" he explained and I breathed a sigh of relief. For a moment there I thought he'd been having second thoughts about us.
