"Lila behind you!" Wyatt shouted from the centre of the cave where he was tied up and I turned to see a demon launching a fire ball my way. Dodging the ball I threw my own at the demon, and the demon exploded in a ball of flame.

"Thanks Wyatt" I said, jogging up to him before kneeling in front of him.

"No problem" he grunted, before hissing through his teeth as my element fire scorched his skin while trying to burn the rope. It was taking much longer than I thought it would though, but then again this rope was designed specifically for rendering a witch powerless.

Fire finally managed to destroy the rope, and Wyatt rubbed his arms and wrists while giving me a grateful smile, which I returned.

"Where are Mel and Chris?" he asked me and I gaped at him. Crap I'd thought they had been with him. Wyatt heard this through our bond and we both focused on Chris and Melinda's energies. Once we had a rough reading of where they were we ran out of the cavern together.

Over the last six years the bonds I had with Chris and Wyatt had strengthened. I was now able to control when I felt the boys and when I didn't, which was a relief when I wanted to be left to my own thoughts. But the bond had also strengthened from their side so that they could now communicate with me without putting all of their effort into one simple thought. The last seven years had also given Chris and I a chance to mend our relationship so that I now had forgiven him for what he'd done and we were back on the friend basis.

A female scream had Wyatt and I pushing ourselves to the extreme, so that my legs burned with the effort of running. Had I not been used to this exercise I would've ended up falling onto the floor with exhaustion, but Wyatt and I trained twice a day now, ready for the big battle that would be happening, in a while.

"Let go of me you idiots" Melinda screamed as Wyatt and I entered the small cave where his siblings were being kept. Two demons held Mel's arms and legs while they transported her over to a stone slab in the middle of the room.

"Let my sister go!" Wyatt roared, and I felt the extent of his power as he used his power to change his voice so that it rang with authority. The demons dropped Melinda in fright, causing her to hit the side of her head off the slab, before they shmmered out. I started towards her, but never reached her as a black mist rose up from the floor.

There standing in front of us was an olive skinned woman. She was wearing a sort of purple scarf around her head, but I didn't miss the dark hair that bulged underneath. She wore a floor length shimmering black dress that was slightly baggy. Even so I could see her stomach which was swollen with pregnancy, through the fabric. Her eyes turned to me and I saw that they were black. My hands shook but I folded them behind me so she couldn't see. I was now standing in front of the Source's vessel and to say she terrified me was an understatement, but my family were counting on me to be able to deal with her. I bowed in front of her, showing my respect, though the reason as to why I did this was beyond me because I hated the Source with a passion.

"Sorceress" the Source acknowledged me. I smiled at my title and stood out of my bow as I felt Melinda walking around the edge of the cave before stopping behind me, where Wyatt was standing in the shadows. "-what news do you bring to me of the Wielder of Excalibur?" she asked me holding her stomach tenderly. My fingers twitched at her use of another title that Wyatt had inherited when he came to the age of eighteen.

"I am sorry to say that he got away, but my sources tell me that he is heading here now" I said and the Source's lips twitched into a smile.

"Brilliant" she said and I nodded.

A terrible fit of screaming came over her then, as she clutched her hands to her head, which was now covered not by her scarf but by fire. She grappled for me and I gave her my hand, to which she clung as though she had no other foothold on this earth.
