"Lila!" Melinda exclaimed as soon as we arrived in the Manor. She was hiding behind the sofa in the living room. Wyatt was next to her.
Chris and I dived behind the sofa as well, joining them both in their hiding place, as a fireball came hurtling towards our heads. I saw that both of Wyatt's arms were bleeding.
"You're bleeding. How?" Melinda stated when we sat down and I nodded towards Wyatt. His face showed shock before he finally understood. The bond had given me his symptoms so that I would know he needed me. I smiled at him.
"How you doing?" I asked and he shrugged before wincing.
"Oh you know. The usual. Just hiding from a bunch of demons" he winced as he said this and I saw that he was bleeding through his shirt.
The sofa rattled with the impact of the demons firing energy balls and fire balls.
Why don't they just shimmer over here. They've rendered Wyatt useless at the moment. Surely they're confident enough to take us I thought to the boys and Chris shrugged. I pulled my hair up into a high ponytail using the band that I always kept on my left wrist. When my hair was out of my face I grabbed the bottom of Wyatt's shirt and ripped it open.
"Easy Lila, we're both taken" he retorted. I glared at him but he laughed to himself. I rolled my eyes at the comment but giggled quietly.
Just by seeing his skin I could tell that he had been hit by a really powerful fireball. His side was bright crimson with blood, and the area surounding the wound was pink and looked very tender. Plus there was a horrible burning smell. Also because of the fact that because I had been given his symptoms, I could feel how painful the wounds were. I pressed my hand against the wound on his side to calm the bleeding and he gasped.
"Sorry" I muttered before pulling part of the pain into myself. He glared at me when I did this, but I ignored him. We both knew it was better that I felt the pain because my spirit power had taken to healing wounds really quickly now. This was because it was developing now, as were all of my powers. Except it tended to literally shock the person. Wyatt knew that as well as anyone since he was the first person to experience this.
I closed my eyes as Wyatt shook with the force of the sofa. I gritted my teeth and concentrated on feeling Wyatt's pain. I let it consume me until my side and arms ached with pain. Then I concentrated on my love for him and how much I thought of him as a brother, before imaging the heat of spirit welling up inside me and travelling to Wyatt where it healed his wounds. My arms and side started heating up and twitching as I felt spirit zapping Wyatt as he healed. But as I had taken his pain into myself I felt this instead of him.
He let out a sigh of relief and I opened my eyes and we smiled at each other. The sofa moved back and Wyatt scattered forwards, nearly sitting on my lap in the process.
"Okay the best defence is a good offence. Right?" I asked the Halliwells and they nodded. "-well how about we surprise them. I will stand up and deflect their powers while you guys orb so that we can surround them. Then, since I'm assuming you already have a spell you three can say that while I'm distracting them" I explained and they all nodded. Chris clenched his jaw but didn't argue, since he knew it was better if I was the distraction, considering I could easily deflect their powers. I nodded to them and stood up just as they orbed out.
