Chapter 12

When the conversation had ended we all decided to do random things together. First off Chris and I decided to do a bit of wrestling. I had in fact objected to that but the boys ganged up on me saying that it was one of the things they did to 'bond'. I'd snorted but given in anyway and we had wrestled in the back garden, both of us landing punches on the other. Though I had hurt Chris a few times, he knew I didn't mean it, but I couldn't help apologising. He grinned every time and we continued to wrestle again. I have a feeling it's because when the boys wrestle they don't apologise if one hurts the other. I so needed to watch them wrestle.

After that Wyatt and I decided to have fun with each other's powers as we showed the other how to use them. Wyatt had showed me how to freeze, heal and how to use his molecular combustive power. That was actually my favourite. Now it was my turn to show Wyatt how to use some of my powers and we had both decided that the elements would be safer to use.

"What's wrong Lila?" Wyatt asked as he saw me frowning. I shook my head and stared wondrously as air swirled around us both.

"It's one thing to feel the elements. It's another to be able to control them" I explained and shook my head to clear my thoughts, "-besides I'm surprised that you can control them." Wyatt looked at me and I could tell he was confused.

"I'm surprised because you are occupying my body and I'm sure they know that. Yet they are allowing you to play with them" I said and Wyatt nodded at this.

The only person who the elements would listen to now and then would be Chris. Even then that was only because we loved each other so strongly that sometimes I felt that a part of him was inside me, and a part of me was inside him. I frowned but let it go. Wyatt can probably do this because it's technically still my body that is controlling them.

"It's because they like the idea of someone controlling them whilst using your body" Wyatt replied and I frowned. He grinned at my, what I supposed was a confused, expression.

"They are speaking to me. Almost like whispers on the wind except it's a voice inside my head and heart telling me things. I used to look at you weirdly when you would talk to them, but now I understand how it works" he responded. I nodded at him.

"That's the best thing about you being in each other's bodies" Amy said and we both turned to look at her.

Chris and Amy had stayed with us outside except they were sitting under one of the trees, whereas Wyatt and I were sitting cross-legged on the grass. I titled my head at Amy. She smiled at me and my heart started thumping quickly. I squeezed my eyes shut and averted my gaze back to Wyatt while I listened to her speak.

"It's good because you learn about each other and your powers" she explained. Wyatt nodded.

"That's true" he replied and they grinned at each other.

"Okay try fire" I said and Wyatt started. I cocked my head to the side questioningly.

What's wrong Wyatt?  I sent to him. He bit his lip.

I'm not sure Lila, what happens if your demonic powers act up?  he sent back and I smiled at him.

"Relax they won't. Thanks to your parents I can control them, just as long as you don't think about them whilst using fire everything will be fine" he nodded at me and I took his hand in mine so that the back of his hand lay flat against my palm. We looked at each other and smiled. Suddenly Wyatt's hand started to heat up and Wyatt's face showed excitement. I nodded encouragingly to him.

"Okay so focus and try to create a flame in the middle of your hand" I instructed. I wouldn't be able to tell him what the trigger for my power is since it would be more fun to get him to figure it out himself.
