The Talk

Steph's POV

I followed North to his office but when we left the room I could hear Jack shouting at Bunny.  I smiled at this because apart from Ice, he is the first person or spirit to stick up for me.

"He likes you you know." North said softly looking at me.

"Who? Jack? I don't think so." I said a little shocked at what North had just told me.

"He does. I have never seen him smile at someone this much before. And believe me when I tell you, he smiles a lot." North said with a smile growing on his face.

I looked behind me to were the globe room was and smiled. North must have seen me because he gave a faint chuckle.

 I turned forward again and blushed by embarrassment. 'Do I really like him?' I kept asking myself.

"You do know you say your thoughts out loud." North said while chuckling at my thoughts.

"I know, Jack said it was cute when I..." I stopped when we walked into were all the toys were being made."

"Wow." I said to myself as I stopped and looked at my surroundings.

"Come on. Keep up." North said as he walked in front of me.

"Wait, I want to get a good look, I've been trying to bust in the place for years." I called to North as I twirled while I was walking.

"BUST IN?" North called back with a little bit of concern in his voice.

"Don't worry, I never got passed the yetis. Oh, hey Phil, Steve." The yetis just gargled something at me so I stuck my lounge out playfully. I don't know why I do it though, it's just a bad habit I guess.  I caught up to North and then we were at his office.

Once I was through the door I was still in shock and amazement. His office had tunes of ice sculptures everywhere and was basically made out of snow. Suddenly the door shut from behind me and locked its self without anybody touching it. I turned to North and he was marching towards me pointing his finger at me while I backed up into the locked door.

"Who are you Stephanie Muse? And what is your centre?" North said just before he almost dug his finger into my chest.

"My... my centre?" I stuttered, confused at the question North had just asked me.

"hum..." he said while stroking his long beard and taking a few steps back. "ah. I used this for Jack before he became a guardian." He said walking up to some shelves and picking up a Russia doll of him. "This is how you see me, no? Very big, very intimidating but when you get to know me, well go on." He said while pointing to the Russian doll in my hand. I removed the first layer of the doll and saw a happy Santa.

"You're darn right jolly." I said while smirking at North.

"Ah, not just jolly, I'm also mysterious," he said while I removed the second layer. "fearless," as I removed the third layer. "caring and at my centre." He said as I removed the last layer. The last piece was a little baby thing.

"You're a tiny, little baby." I said while wiping my face in confusion and disbelief.

"No, no what else do you see?" he said pointing at the piece of wood in my hand.

"erm. You have big eyes?" I said more like a question.

"Yes, yes. Eyes full of wonder." I started to blank out a bit when North was talking about wonder and lead me out side of his office. I noticed in the corner of my eye jack freezing some elves and laughing at them. I was a about to laugh but then North put his arm over my shoulder and pointed at the flying toys in the air.

"Wonder is what I bring to the children of the world Stephanie, that is my centre. What is yours?" he asked softly while looking at me.

"I... I don't know." I said as I looked down at the floor. Next thing I knew was my chin being lifted my no other that Jack Frost.

"I didn't know what my centre was either. You just need time to find out." I looked at him and smiled.

"Thank you Jack." I said then kissed him of the cheek. When I looked at him he had the faintest blush ever. I bet me kissing him on the cheek made him blush a lot, I mean who knew jack frost could blush.  Jack took my hand and them turned to North.

"I'm going to show Stephanie around the workshop." Jack said to North.

"Okay, just don't break any toys, it's Christmas in 4 weeks." North said with a slight chuckle.

"We'll be careful." Jack said looking back into my eyes and smiling at me. "Wait for me in globe room in five minutes." He added to me.

"It's a date." I said with a sheepish smile on my face.

"it's a date." He said returning the smile. How come he was the spirit of winter but his smile makes me melt inside. 

"oh Ice, are you okay staying with North and the guardians while me and Jack take a look around?" I asked.  Ice just nodded. Jack walked away down the hall way.
