The Tooth Race Part 2

Hey guys, this is the final part of the Tooth Race Chapters so don't worry about any more than just the two. ;P

Steph POV

I walked over to Elisa's pillow and check for a tooth while Jack checked Aaron's. Aaron didn't have one but Elisa had a moler, which I put into my sack and pulled out a quarter and place it under her pillow.

"This is my favourite part, you know, seeing the kids so peaceful but I have more fun when they're awake." I whispered laughing slightly at the end.

"What do you like seeing them do when they have fun?" Jack asked, I could feel his gaze burning into the back of my head while I was watching Elisa sleep.  Think ofme as a creeper, I don't care, she just looks adorable.

"I like seeing them go out on adventures, smiling, laughing, leting their curious side out." I smiled finally looking over to Jack who was just staring at me. "Sometimes I wish that they could see me, so I can laugh and have fun with them. . . And so its easier for me to save them when they are in danger." I said the last part softly, so soft that I was shocked that Jack could hear me.

"What do you mean, have you seen them in danger before?" he asked, he looked very confused.

"Well yeah, it was 100 years ago, a little boy called Finn was just leaving his house to go to the woods. . ."

*******Flashback******

"Bye mother!" Finn shouted while he was walking out of his house.

"And where are you off to young man?" his mother asked, while she was mixing a cake batter.

"To the woods, where I go every Saturday."

"Well be back before 6." His mother said with a sweet smile.

"I will!" Finn shout while he was half way down the street. He walked right through me because he didn't believe, he didn't know that I was going to stay with him so I could see what he does in the woods.

"Oh, and Finn?" his mother called.

"Yes mother?"

"Listen out for Apollo." His mother said.

"Who's Apollo?" Finn asked walking back towards his mother.

"Who's Apollo?" I repeated, holding my heart in mock hurt, but even though I was used to people not seeing me, it still hurt.

"He's the god of many things, like the light, healing, music, poetry and more. Legend has it, if you are in danger or lost, he will sing and if you follow his voice it will lead you to safety." His mother said placing the batter on a table in the house.

"But that's just a legend." Finn said, confused.

"Legends aren't just stories, they ring with truth." She replied, wisely.

"Okay, well I'm off." Finn called, walking back down the street.

Ice and I looked at each other confused. This woman seemed to know my name and she new what I was but she said a was a boy and a God. I had never been more confused in my life.

It was a five minute walk to the forest and the whole why there I was humming a random tune with ice walking next to me as a wolf. Finn stop in his track and looked around for something, then he whistled the same tune as me. I started to whistle with him and his confused face turned into a huge grin.

He carried on walking into the forest still whistling the tune with me. After a while we came up to a huge ditch around 10 feet deep; the only way to cross it was a weak looking log which was connected to both sides. Finn started to walk across the log with his arms out to keep him balance and his tongue sticking out of his mouth in consontraction.
