Lucy's POV
Brennan comes up to us,his face expressionless.

"I thought you already left?" I question
"I'm just about to but I wanted to say a few things to the team"I nod,He slips in beside me.

"Remember when I joined your photography class this semester?" He questions just low enough so I could hear,I nod

"I had to step down" I give him a shocked expression
"Why?"
"It was either have free period and train and condition for baseball or take another math class" he pauses looking around making sure know one was looking at us or listening us.

"So I choice training and conditioning"He smiles

"Why? I mean you guys are already built as is"
Brennan smiles "Thanks for calling me built"I blush "I'm joking and plus diabetes has the effect of me losing so much body weight which I'm going to have to watch"

I nod taking in this new information "Well I better get going,gotta tell the team"I smile,he returns the smile

He says his goodbyes to Brent and Gabby."Excited for the game?" I question Brent

He nods "I'm ready to umm"he was at a lose of words "pummel them to the ground"Gabby laughs at his choice of words

"Like literally" I laugh

Brent looks over to his left where the baseball team was sitting and listening to Brennan.Brennan gives the team a small smile.

Luke claps Brennan shoulder,they exchange a few words than they do a bro hug.And with that Brennan turns to leave the building.

"I wonder how he's taking it?" Gabby questions
"What do you mean?" I question
"Will since last night when he found out he was diagnosed with diabetes,he hasn't broken down,I swear I thought he would've broken down when he first got the news but I guess I was wrong."

"Well, if i ever learned anything from Brennan is that he was always strong," Brent smiled, "and he can just have an anchor."

"Anchor?" I raised my eyebrows.

"Yeah you know, someone who is the reason why a person is being strong, and also a someone they love." Gabby adds.

"I think your Brennan's anchor Lucy." Brent playfully punches me in the shoulder as I blush. "Kinda like how Gabby's mine." Gabby's face turned bright red and he pulled her into a hug.

"Alright keep it PG will you" I laugh
Brent laughs,as Gabby slaps him on his bicep.Brent pouts "My best friends are children"

"So Lu,are you coming to my game to see me pummel some stupid kids to the ground" Brent questions
I shake my head "I'm going to the hospital with Brennan" Gabby's eyes widen.

"Ohh,seems important "
"Shut up,He was going to ask you but you have a game and he said how important this game is to you so" I shrug
"Yup Scouts will be there today" Brent's fist pumps the air.

Gabby and I share a laugh.

"Brennan Knights room please"I say to the lady who was sitting at the front desk.
"And you are?" She questions.Great she's this kind of lady.

"A very supportive friend"
"That's not gonna cut it miss"I sigh leaning against the desk,my boot taping against the tiled floor.

"She's with me"a voice booms behind me.I turn around my hair flowing off my shoulders.

I see Mrs Johnson standing in her scrubs,a clipboard in hand,and her hair in a tight top bun.I sigh with relief

I turn back to the annoying lady at the desk raising my eyebrows "Fine,go" I smirk,I always have sources.
