Unwritten Teenage Dream

Chapter 9.

Gabby's POV
"I don't even know why I agreed,I can't skate" I exclaim to Lucy who was lying on my bed,on her phone

"That was a pretty bad idea.I'm sure Brent will help you"
I groan stepping away from the mirror"You only know how to skate because your brother was a hockey player" she shrugs

"Gabby,Brennan and I are going to be there you don't have to freak out"
"We should have a code word"
"A code what?" She sits up
"Code word.Like if we're freaking out mostly me.We should have a signal or safe word" she shakes her head

"I guess,what's the word?" She questions throwing her phone over her shoulder.

"Lucky?"Lucy shakes her head
"Shark?"she nods
"Shark it is" Lucy says
I walk over to my closet "Now come help me pick an outfit"
"My pleasure "

"The boys should already be here"I nod
"You okay?" Lucy questions cutting the engine

"I'm fine"she laughs
"Let's go skate" she opens her door
"You haven't gone skating in forever haven't you?" I quiz getting out of the car

She shakes her head "No"she pushes the doors to the ice rink.

Brent and Brennan were sitting on the seats talking.

Lucy's POV
"You know those two are pretty good"Brennan says,I look up from tying my skates
"Who"Brennan nods his head to Brent and Gabby who were below us.

I smile "I'm glad Brent makes Gabby happy"Brennan nods
"Brent doesn't realize how good Gabby is for him"I nod,I watch as Brent helps Gabby first get on the ice. I look over at Brennan. "Ready?" He nods and we head for the ice.

Gabby's POV
I first get on the ice and my grip tightens on Brent's hands he lets out a little yelp but then smiles. "Oh jeez I'm so sorry."
"Don't worry about it. All you have to do it glide. Oh and look at me." He takes his hand and lifts my chin. I give him a nervous smile as we kinda start to glide off.

Soon I was getting the hang of it, then again Brent was still holding me as I let him pull me. Oh jeez this is going to be a long night.

Lucy's POV
Brennan goes onto the rink before me and lends out a hand. I gladly take it and put my first skate on the ice as my other skate follow behind.
Just as I was about to look up and smile at him to say thank you I completely slipped. Brennan grabbed my body but at that point we both fell. I was on top of him, both of us laughing.

"Maybe we both need to get used to it before we go hardcore skating." I nodded agreeing. I get off of him and he helps me up. And as I slowly start to skate off but he takes my hand.
"And perhaps we should get used to it together."he smiles.

We skate around together and start to talk about how we were younger and we snuck out at night once just to skate on a little pond behind my house.

"Those were the good days." I laugh
"True,I miss him." He started to frown.  I let go of his hand and skate faster then do a twirl. His smile returns and he skates after me trying to copy but fails at doing so.

Gabbys POV
"Alright Gabby, I'm letting go now ok?" I breath in and out deeply as he laughs.
"Alright I'm ready." He gives me a little smile and loosens his grip.

He smiles at me once I stay on my feet "Brennan"Lucy screams.Someone bumps into me which I guess was Brennan.

I stumble forward almost falling.A pair of arms grab me before I hit the ground,pulling me close to his body "Dude"Brent laughs.

Lucy skates up to us,biting her lip trying not to laugh "Brennan was trying to show up"Brennan blushes

"Stick to baseball dude,your way better at it"Brennan cracks a smile.
