Lucy's POV
"What?" Brennan questions lowering his arms
I sigh taking a breath"My mom thinks my brother and father got in a car accident,she doesn't know he killed him"tears forming in my eyes.

He steps closer to me,gripping my wrists "no I don't want your sympathy " I groan my feet skidding against the floor.

I sigh letting him win,He pulls me in a hug laying a hand around my waist and one on top of my head.I put my head in the crock of his neck

"It's okay" he whispers.

Gabby's POV
"I really enjoyed tonight "I tell Brent,as he holds up the picnic blanket and I grab the basket.

"I had a lot of help with this date"
"Why?"
"I don't know,I wanted it to be perfect"
He sets the blanket in the back seat of his truck,he turns around to face me.He grabs the picnic basket from my hands putting it at the back as well.

"You didn't have to make it perfect,just for me"he turns to face me.
"I wanted to,everything about you is perfect Gabby" he grabs my hand
"I don't consider myself as perfect,I mean not everyone is perfect that's just a saying"I was interpreted by Brent kissing me.

My eyes widen as he pulls me closer.I close my eyes my heart melting even more.I wrap my arms around his neck,kissing him back.

He smiles when I kiss back.I pull away needing air.He traces my bottom lip with his thumb"If that was your way of telling me to shut up,I'll never stop talking"I mumble against his thumb.

He laughs causing me to smile."Yea I'll consider that more often than"

Lucy's POV
After Brennan and I had our odd moment he offered to drive me home,I said no since he was low but he wouldn't take no for an answer.

So here I was half asleep on Brennan while not on him.He had an arm around me supporting my head.We were watching a movie and I ended up falling asleep.

"She hasn't even told her mom" Brennan's hushed voice says beside me.

"She's going to have to" Brent's voice matches Brennan's
"Don't you think it'll be a grand idea if her and her dad said it together?"
"Yea but we don't know where her dad is,he left her after the funeral"

"I won't let her live her life knowing she's keeping the biggest secret from her mom"
"B,she's kept it going for god knows how long.We have no power over it"

Silence wraps over the three of us.Well the two of them.

"So how was the date?" The question I've been dying for Brennan to ask.
"Great,thanks for not calling till I texted you"
I assume Brennan waved him off since I felt his body moving "I was only low,Lu got me thought"

"Are you still low?"
"No I'm at 145"
"Great"
"So what else did you rebels do?"
"We kissed"
"Really?"
"She kissed back" Brent whisper yells with delight,I smile
"Really?" Brennan teases
"I'm serious dude,I think I might actually like her" he pauses "she's something different"

"Great,because Sarah was a total no go" Brent and Brennan share a laugh

"I better go,thought"Brent says
"Yea sure"
"You heading home? Cause if you are I'll drop you"
"Yea ill meet you in the car.I'll just get Lucy upstairs"I didn't hear anything after that but a door shuts.

Brennan unwraps his arm that was supporting my head,he gently lays my head down.I hear him click off the tv.

"Lucy?"he's hushed voice says.
