Lucy's POV
Music was blaring as Gabby and I were getting ready. I stood in my bathroom curling my ombré hair while Gabby looked around in my jewelry.
"What do you think about this?" Gabby screams on top of the music. I look over to see her with my diamond earrings and pearl bracelet. I smile and turn down the music.
"That was my grandmom's."
"Oh, Lu. Sorry I'll put it back-"
"No, no wear it. It looks amazing and she would like it if you wore it." She gave me a smile and nodded.
I finished up my hair and makeup, and so did Gabby. We slipped on our dresses and looked at the finishing product.
"Aw Lu, you're so stunning."
"Says you!" We both giggled and fixed up our last touches in the mirror. My hair was softly curled and pulled into a half up and down. Gabby's was waved into soft beach waves. I pulled on my wedges and we walked into my kitchen.
"It's almost time, they should be here soon." Gabby said picking at a muffin just as the door bell rung. We lightly sprint to the door in our high heels.I laugh as Gabby trips slightly
I open the door wide,seeing both boys,there hands stuffed in there suit pockets.Brennan smiles up at me,I smile back.
"Alright"Brent says,moving around us to grab Lucy.
Brennan comes closer to me,I smile up at him"You look gorgeous"I blush
"You don't look to bad yourself"he laughs,looking over my shoulder to see Brent and Gabby in an intense conversation.
Brennan claps his hands together "Are we ready?" He questions,The two turn around.Nodding.
Brennan grips my hand softly giving me a small squeeze.

The man hands Brennan and Brent a ticket,since we valet parked.
Brent grabs Gabby,they walk in front of us.
Brennan tightens his arms around my waist "Alright,I have to talk to some interviewers"I nod
He lowers his head so his matching my height "You can go find your parents or something,that's what Gabby did"I smile,he knows me to well.
"Are you you?I mean "he waves me off.
"Go"he kisses my cheek,before I head inside.I turn my head right and left looking for any sign of my parents,nothing
But I did see someone I did know.I move my eyes back over to Jackson,who was talking to a who coaches I assume.
We make eye contact,he smiles at me.Than goes back to talking to the men for a second before making his way towards me.
"Hey"he smiles "I didn't know you were coming"
"I came with Brent,Gabby and Brennan"
His eyes widen "Brennan is here?" I nod "so that means I actually get to meet him?"I nod laughing
Jackson and I talked for a few more minutes before I spot Brennan heading over to the small group of interviewers.
He talks for awhile,then turns his head looking around for someone,he meets my eyes and he smiles before turning to talk to someone,then he snaps his head back,noticing I'm standing beside Jackson,he had started a conversation with Gabby.
I move my eyes back over to where Brennan was standing,but I couldn't find him.I sigh.
A pair of hands wrap around my waist.Brennan
He moves around me so he's at my side "Who's that" I laugh,as he groans
"Your cute when your jealous "I place a hand on his chest,he rolls his eyes at me.
"You must be the famous Brennan Knight"Jackson says,with a small smile.
Jackson sticks out his hand "Jackson Walker"
Brennan shakes his hand "I've heard a lot of talk about you"
"Baseball?"Jackson questions,Brennan nods.
They immediately struck up a conversation.I smile as they laugh at something.
Gabby's POV
"There is this one kid,that just moved here from Canada.He's an amazing runner"My dad tells my mom and I
My mother looks at us,we laugh "What?" Dad questions us
"Nothing,it's just amazing how mesmerized you are"Mom answers
"Hey,this is my job"he laughs.I roll my eyes as I feel someone wrap their arms around my waist,I lean back into Brent.
"Mind if I take her?"He questions my parents.They nod letting me go.
Brent smiles,taking my hand in his leading me somewhere "Where are you taking me?"
"I wanna show you something"Brent smiles back at me.

He leads me to the top of the building the rooftop.
"It's beautiful " he smiles leaning against the ledge
"I found a few years ago,I was joking around with Brennan and we were playing hide and seek so"his eyes trained on the city underneath him
"Well it's just our secret place"he smiles at me,wrapping an arm pulling me closer to him.
"So how is Brennan?" I question
"He says he's okay,but he doesn't want us to know he's breaking inside.He's terrified" my eyes widen
"Why is he scared?"
Brent shrugs "apparently my mom said he was near death.So I guess that has something to do with it"
We stand embracing each other's silence,watching the sun set.It was a great view and I'm glad I got to see it with Brent
Lucy's POV
I walk down the hall that led to the girls bathroom,I turn the corner to see Brennan standing there,starring off the space.I cast a look at what he was looking at
I grab one of Brennan's hand and place my hand on his chest "Brennan"I whisper,he shakes his head looking at me.Fear.
"You alright"he nods
"Yea I'm fine,I've gotta go to the men's room.Don't wait up alright "He forces a smile at me,kissing my cheek before leaving me.
I watch as he puts his shaking hands in his suit pockets.
Gabby's POV
"He left and I haven't seen since"Lucy panics,pacing up and down empty hallway.
"Lu"I mutter
"Lucy"Brent says louder,she stops
"We'll split up and find him"she nods
And so we did.
