Once upon a time
I had a dream of you and I
We were lying under the Eiffel Tower
Creating traffic in the city of love
You said that time was an illusion
And that it only lasted five more minutes.
There's no time to waste
Wake up and smell the roses
Expose the world's best fakers
And turn them into bakers
Who can feed food into hungry stomachs
Instead of lies into half-empty heads
Freeing all the butterflies inside
Filling our guts with meaty packets
It's time to get to know you again
Start with your first name
And count back to the very first word
It's time to love you again
I set fire to the concrete jungle
If you think you took your last breath,
I swear you got more left
Just believe in yourself
Imagine yourself on top of the tower instead
There is a better view
I promise.
