Gripping onto the heavy metal chains for dear life
Rust staining the palms
Hiding cuts and scars
as you swing back and forth.
Trying to get up from this trance
So hard to let go of the past
While putting on a brave face
And walk towards the future.
Suffocating in the present
because reality hits you like a gigantic yellow bus
Life throwing curve balls at you
