Walking down the dank, dim, hallways of the high school was the last thing I wanted to do on a Friday night. The football game at the field was 27-25 with us losing and I had to run in to get my camera. It was the homecoming game and everyone was there. The yearbook needs more sports pictures and I didn't bring out my photography bag.

Walking to my locker i try to hurry because i hate being by myself. I would've asked Blake, but he was excited to see the end of the game. Walking down these halls was like walking across cemetary to me.

Empty schools are always scary when you're by yourself, but now i see my locker at the end of the hallway. I enter the combination and open my locker, and that's when i hear them. The footsteps. I immediately start to get butterflies and rush to grab my camera bag.

The footsteps are getting closer. Then as I close my locker, they stop. It's eerily quiet and I freeze in my tracks. I look around the hallways and see no one. I close my locker and back away slowly from my locker and start to turn around but then I bump into something hard. I gasp and start to shriek. But a large hand covers my mouth.

"Mrrph!MMmmgg!"

"Sshh! Anna it's just me!" He says. I quickly turn around. The first thing I see is his ocean blue eyes.

"Ryan." I sigh loudly. He chuckles.

"Blake told me to come find you." He tucks a stray piece of hair behind my ear. I blush.

"You didn't have to come for me." He shrugs.

"I wanted to." He blushes and I grin at him. "Come on, we should probably get back to the game."

He leads me back down the halls and out to the football field and we just made it for the last 20 minutes of the game. I take some great pictures of the players running and sweating on the field. After the game, with a win of 32-27, everyone heads to the party that quarterback Liam throws after every win. As I'm cheering with Blake, Ryan comes up to me with a wide grin on his face.

"Goin to the party later?" I look at his beautiful face and frown.

"Um...I don't think so. Parties aren't really my scene. Plus, what would I where?" He smirks at me.

"You look beautiful just wearing jeans. Come on, you can hang with me."

"But-"

"No buts. You're coming as my date. My gorgeous date." I blush and smile.

"Fine, I'll go. But first I need to go home and change."
He nods and tells me that he'll pick me up at my house when I'm ready. Only when I get home do I realize that I never told him my address.

I look in my closet. I see a variety of jeans, t-shirts, and crops, but nothing A-list party worthy.

"Mom!"

My mom rushes into my room with a spatula and a bowl of cupcake mix.

"Hey what's wrong?" She says with wide eyes.

"I have nothing to wear to this party I'm going to..."

"Just go find something in my closet."

"Seriously?"

She nods and smiles. I grin running to her room, already knowing which dress I'm going to wear. I've always had my eyes on a light green strapless that goes to my knees. Mom got it just to bug me. I grab her black 3-inch pumps and run to my room.

I smile at my reflection in the mirror and head to the bathroom to touch up my makeup. I'm not a bad looking girl. I'm 5'4'', tannish skin, freckles, my waist isn't too small, and neither is my top. The dress fits me perfectly. I put on some light green eyeshadow and some eyeliner. I've never been a fan of lipstick, so I put on some lipgloss. I'm applying my mascara when my mom calls me downstairs.
