"Morning mom." I say to my mother gleefully. She looks at me with a weird look.
"Okay, who did you kiss?" I look at her with fake shock.
"What makes you think I've kissed someone?" I ask.
"Thats the look I had when your father and i were dating after we kissed. I just figured..." She glances up at me and gives me a smirk. I shrug.
"Its just some guy. It doesnt matter." I say. My mom gives me the yeah right look.
"Anyone who makes you blush at the mention of them is not just some guy missy." I huff.
"Fine, it's Blake." My mom's whole body freezes.
"Blake? But isn't he like your best friend?" She asks.
"Yeah, but things change mom. We like each other now and its kinda been that way for awhile now." She shakes her head.
"Are you sure this is best? That could be bad for your friendship." I look up at her and frown.
"I know that mom, but nothing bad is going to happen." My mom just shakes her head and sighs at me.
"I just don't want to see you hurt hun."
"It's Blake mom,he's not going yo hurt me. He's incapable."
"You never know honey." I shake my head.
"Mom it's my choice, if I get hurt then it just happens." I turn and run up the stairs to my room closing the door behind me. I pace my room for a few minutes before I hear my phone beep. I sprint over to my phone and pick it up. I see that Blake sent me a message.
Blake: Good morning beautiful.
I grin and start typing back a reply.
Me: Good morning handsome. I need to tell you something.
Blake: Sure, what is it?
Me: My mom thinks us dating is not a good idea.
There is a pause.
Blake: You said we were dating.
I grin and say.
Me: Yes, i did. But my mom still doesnt think that it should happen.
Blake: But mom loves me.
Me: Yeah,as my best friend not my boyfriend.
Blake: I guess well just have to change her mind now wont we?
Waiting for Blake to show up was the most nerve racking thing ever, but once he finally did arrive I ran downstairs to answer the door. I swing open the door just as he was about to knock.
"You were actually going to knock on the door? You never knock on the door."
He shrugs.
"Thought I'd be formal. Where's mom?" I take his hand and lead him to the livingroom here mom is watching her show.
"Mom, Blake wants to talk to you." My mom raises her eyebrows and stands up.
"Can we talk alone Anna?" My mom asks but I know its not really a question. I leave the room after giving Blake an apologizing glance. I go upstairs knowing thag if I eavesdropped I would've been killed later that night by my mom.
After what seems like forever I hear footsteps coming up the stairs. I jump up from my bed and sprint to my door. I have a huge grin on my face and swing open the door expecting to look into the most beautiful boyish eyes ever.
"How'd it go?" My grin immeadiately fades when my mother replies.
"Well, he made a very strong case, but I sent him home."
"What?!" Then I hear the start of his engine and I run over to my window. He drives off and I instantly glare at my mother.
"What did you say to him?"
"I told him to go home. You two wont be hanging out." I take a step back.
"What are you talking about?"
"You two will not be seeing each other as boyfriend and girlfriend. You will be allowed to see each other as friends and nothing more." My mother walks away and I am left to sit in the blinding silence of my shock.
