Blake's P.O.V.
I drive downtown. I didn't bring any backup clothes so I still wear my flower button up. I love Anna and I hate how I made her destroy something so important. I don't know where I'm going and I don't know what I'm gonna do when I get there. I know she forgave me but that's not enough I have to make it up to her again. When I saw that crumpled up picture it felt like I hurt her all over again. I keep driving thinking of what I can do to fix this. I have to find a way to make this up to her I can't get this out of my mind. I know she still thinks about me and her mom together. Nothing I see seems like a good idea. I pull over and run my hand through my hair. I stare out my window and head home. I've got it.
Anna's P.O.V.
After Blake leaves me in my room I shower and put on some jeans shorts and a t shirt that says "I don't care" on it. I go downstairs and sit on the kitchen island where my mom sips coffee and eats a bagel. She smiles at me as I walk in. I look at her reading a book."Mom?" She puts her book down and looks at me. "Do you love Blake?" She tenses up and slowly places her cup of coffee down on the island.
"Anna... I don't want to back into all of that."
"Yeah but Blake just left because he feels like he's still hurting me. So do you love him?" My mom thinks for a moment.
"I don't know Anna. I...I just don't know." I stand up without a word. I grab my shoes, keys, and phone and head out the door. I drive to Jamie's. She always cheers me up. And it feels like we didn't see each other at homecoming. When I get to her house I walk up to her front porch and knock on the door her mom answers. She has bags under her eyes and hair is messy.
"Oh hi Anna. Go on up Jamie is in her room." I thank her and go up to Jamie's room. Her door is closed and I knock.
"What mom?" I chuckle.
"That's no way to speak to your mother." One actual second later to yanks open the door and tugs me inside.
"I was just about to text you. I have to tell you what happened last night."
"What happened?" I ask. She looks back at me with a stupid grin on her face like she just did something bad.
"I met someone. He's absolutely gorgeous and his name is Taylor." I automatically run to her side. I giddily ask her what he looks like. She pulls up his Facebook page and we both sigh. He is gorgeous. He has light brown skin and dark hair. His dark eyes seem to stare into your soul through the computer.
"Wow Jamie. He's hot, but I would've remembered seeing that face at school.
"He goes to a school downtown. And guess what? He plays point on the basketball team!" Jamie has always wanted a jock boyfriend for the jackets. She loves jock jackets.
"You're not using him just for the jacket right?" I speculate. She looks at me shocked and looks back at the picture.
"Do you not see that boy? Of course I'm not using him for his jacket. He's too beautiful." I laugh and we both talk for hours and hours and for a period of time I don't think about Blake. Too much.
Blake's P.O.V.
In my room I'm pacing. How should I do this? I decide to just get it over with and I start driving to Anna's house. The hats I bought are sitting in the passenger seat next to me. As I'm pulling up I notice that her car is missing. She must be at Jamie's. But I go to the front door to check just in case.
"I don't know where she is. She left after we talked."
I shake my head. Michelle grips my arm. I take a deep breath.
"Michelle, let go of me." She sighs and releases her grip on my arm. Then I hop back in my car and drive to Jamie's house.
Anna's P.O.V.
"Anna, someone is here for you." I look at Jamie and she looks at me. We both share the same confused look. Then Jamie's room door opens and Blake stands there.
"You're coming with me."
"Where are we goin?"
"To the zoo."
