After getting permission from Chiron to go out and promising up, down, and left that we wouldn't get in trouble, I could finally take Annabeth on our date.

Glancing at her, I smiled. She looked absolutely gorgeous, if not a little confused as to what was going on.

"How are we going to go anywhere, Seaweed Brain? We don't have any transportation."

"Au contraire, Mademoiselle."

"Oh, going French are we?" She joked.

"I've picked up a little from Piper and Hazel." We crossed the border and I waved my hand across her view in a 'ta-da' motion.

"Where did that come from?" Annabeth asked. A sleek, dark blue convertible sat at the edge of the street, sparlking in the afternoon sun.

"A little elf made it for me."

"You got Leo to make you a car?"

"Yes." I grinned at her and held up a set of keys on a keychain that had a small fish on it. "Her name is Thalassa."

"You dork." Annabeth laughed at me.

"But you love me. Hop in." I walked down the hill and opened the passenger door for her.

"Thank you, Seaweed Brain."

"No problemo, Wise Girl." I rounded the front of the car and sat down in the passenger seat. I hadn't driven her yet, but Leo had and he promised she was a dream to drive.

"Spanish too? You are just Mr. Impressive tonight." Annabeth teased.

"I aim to please." I leaned over and kissed her cheek, then stuck in the key and fired the car up.

"I've gotta pay Leo somehow." I muttered. "This is fantastic."

Annabeth waited until we were on the road driving away from Manhattan before asking again, "Where are we going?"

"Well, we're going to start with dinner." I glanced over at her and smiled. Her hair was flying in the wind, which only made her more gorgeous in my opinion.

"And then?"

"Ah ah, Wise Girl. You'll have to wait and see. I'll just say though, it's a good thing you wore jeans."

She raised an eyebrow at me and tried to get me to spill something else, but I just smiled at her after each question.

"You really aren't cracking on this one are you?" She finally asked.

"No I am not." I replied, facing forward as I watched road signs.

"Alright fine." Annabeth switched on the radio.

The first thing playing was Thinking Out Loud. I couldn't have picked a better song.

"And darling I will be loving you til we're 70.

And baby, my heart could still fall as hard at 23.

And I'm thinking 'bout how people fall in love in mysterious ways,

maybe just the touch of a hand." Annabeth laid her hand over mine on the gear shift and I smiled.

"Well, me, I fall in love with you every single day,

and I just wanna tell you I am.

The houses we were going past started to get closer together again and I knew we were getting close to where we were.

The song ended and the radio announcer started talking.

"That was Thinking Out Loud by Ed Sheeran! Next on our romantic weekend playlist, we're pulling out an old one. Enjoy Can't Help Falling In Love by the one and only Elvis Presley!"

Annabeth looked at me. "Did you plan this somehow?"

"Nope. I don't even know what station this is." I replied.

About halfway through the song I saw the sign for the place we were going to.

"Here we are."

"Wow, Percy. This is really cool." We were parked outside a small restaurant that had a sign out front proclaiming itself to be Mirabelle

"I think you'll like it. It's French cuisine and the building itself is-"

"A French inn." She smiled at me.

"Exactly." I killed the engine and pocketed the the keys, then grabbed my jacket, which I'd tossed in the back seat, and draped it over my shoulder.

I rounded the car quickly and opened Annabeth's door.

"My lady. Ready for our little jaunt?" I asked in a pretty good imitation of a British Posh accent.

"Positively aflutter." She responded, mirroring my accent.

"Fantastic." I pecked her lips and wrapped my arm around my waist. We started for the door.

"Table for two." I told the waiter, who seemed a little awe struck with us, though I had no clue why.

"It's the car." Annabeth whispered jokingly.

"It better be. That baby is gorgeous." I murmured back. We took our seats and I smiled at her.

"But not as beautiful as you."

[A/N the restaurant is in Stony Brook, NY. And Percy did the model thing where they have the jacket draped over their shoulder and the other hand in their pocket, you know? XD I'm a dork]
