(Zeke's POV):

I let my feet sink into the sand as I walk to the bathroom.

I'm ready for this. I'm going to propose to Avery. I have already asked her parents, and they're thrilled.

I head into the men's room and look into the mirror as I pull out the beautiful ring that once belonged to my grandmother. This ring has been passed down every two years in our pack to the alpha to propose with, and I am the lucky man given the honor to do so.

"I can do this," I say to my self as I feel my heart beat race.

"Are you sure? You can't really propose to a girl who isn't there to be proposed to." a voice says from behind me.

I whip around to locate the voice's owner and see an young boy leaning up against the bathroom stall.

"What do you mean?" I ask suspiciously as I put the ring back in my the box and in my pocket. "I'm from alpha Dylan's pack. Avery is probably already miles from here by now." I let out a menacing growl and the boy doesn't move. "I'm a beta, your growls or commands have no affect on me," he says smirking.

" But this does," I say grabbing a hold of his throat. "Where is she?" I say with a few growls escaping. I then press him right against the bathroom wall.

The boy gags and struggles to get out of my death grip. His brown hair flies all over as he flails.

"She -" He gags again and I loosen my grip on his neck a bit. "She's being taken to our territory," he says, his voice a bit raspy.

"Don't lie to me," I snarl and tighten my grip on his neck.

His eyes begin to water, and I can smell his fear. "She's being taken into the woods just next to our territory where Dylan has got a mansion built for the two of them. He plans to use her as a slave for his own desires," he says and another gag escapes him.

I let out a menacing growl but loosen on the boy's neck.

"Please don't kill me," he pleads. "Our pack loves Avery. Dylan was the one who made us embarrass her by calling her names as a child and Dylan has forced us to do this for him. And the girl in your pack Veronica has been giving us information," he finishes with his voice shaking.

I snarl when he mentions Veronica. So she was the female helping the rogues. But they weren't really rogues. They were Dylan's pack. All the pieces are coming together now.

And in the end, it all says that Dylan is a nut job.

I let go of his neck, and he gasps for a breath of air. "You better hurry Zeke, Veronica probably already has her now," the boy says, with worry evident in his voice. "I trust you with this," I say as I hand him the box containing the ring. "With my life I will protect it for you Zeke. Now save Avery!" He shouts.

I shift into my wolf and sprint out of the bathroom. The wind feels good on my fur as I run.

I notify the pack about Avery and tell them to tell her parents.

'We've got a search party up and looking for Avery now,' says Mac. 'We also have a fighting team up and searching for Dylan and his pack,' he says with a serious tone.

Humans scream as they see me running across the beach, and point my way.

But I don't care. My mind is set on one thing now.

Avery.

(Avery's POV -this is while Zeke is in the bathroom):

My hand reaches up for the hand that cups my mouth, and right when I feel the perfectly manicured finger nails, I know who it is.

Veronica. Stupid bitch. I wonder what the heck she thinks she doing.

"Ready," She says. 'What the heck...' my wolf wonders. 'I'm wondering the same thing,' I say.

I get up from the beach towel and Veronica lifts her hand up for a split second, and slaps on a piece of duct tape.

What an idiot. I have hands.

I rip the duct tape off of my mouth, and then realize there are wolves surrounding me every direction. And of course Zeke wanted and I wanted to be in the part of the beach that no one was at so we could be alone. Now I regret that.

I get ready to let out a big long scream to notify Zeke I'm in trouble, but Veronica notices.

She shifts into her blonde wolf and tackles me in the ground.

I fall. But it wasn't just I little fall. I landed hard. On my stomach. One of my pups could be injured, or even dead.

The thought of any of my pups in pain makes me and my wolf set in murder mode. I shift into my wolf and I push Veronica off of me. I pin her down as fast as I pushed her off, and let my wolf take over.

She'll know what to do.

She takes hold of Veronica's muzzle and clamps down, and blood spurts all over her, and my white coat.

The wolves around me snarl, and I look up. They all come closer and I give a threatening growl.

"Now now, let's all be nice," says a familiar voice. Dylan. Veronica must be the female from Zeke's pack helping the rogues. But they weren't even rogues. They were my old pack.

Did Veronica want Zeke back so bad that she made a deal with Dylan? Or was she just a crazy little bitch?

Probably a crazy bitch.

Or both.

Dylan walks closer to the circle of wolves, and they part open for him to make his way to me. I growl lowly at him, but he doesn't seem phased.

Dylan nods behind me and I send him a confused look. But I understand right when a dart flies into my rear. They had this planned all to well.

I start to become woozy right when the dart sunk into my flesh.

"Grab her," I hear Dylan say.

And soon all the voices jabbering are gone, and all I can see is pitch black.
