Chapter 28

I was woken up by my stupid cell and I wished I put it on silent before I went to bed. I sighed, slowly opening my eyes and reaching for my cell which was on the night stand. I was extremely tired and I just wanted to go back to sleep.

"Hello?" I answered groggily. Who was calling me this early anyway? ....I didn't even know what time it was.

"Hunter, where the hell are you?" Dad asked on the other line.

       "My bed."

"Really?" Dad asked. "Your bed? That's funny, because I'm standing in your bedroom and I don't see you in bed. In fact, it looks like it wasn't even slept in last night."

"Dad, I am in bed," I said. That was when I looked around.

       Oh. Right.

       Not my bed.

"Hunter, I don't have time for this," Dad said. "Can you please get back home from wherever you are? We need to leave soon and you of all people aren't even home."

"Uh, yeah, I'm on my way," I said before hanging up. I sighed, laying back down and putting my phone on the nightstand. My tour, the thing I had been waiting for, was finally here but now, I kind of didn't want to go.

Don't get me wrong, of course I wanted to tour around the country, performing and meeting my fans, but this past week wasn't easy since I found out that I had Wilson's disease and I now had a little sister. Ivy was the cutest little girl ever, but my parents were paying a bit more attention to her which I fully expected. But I was kind of hoping things would be different.

The reason I didn't want to go was because of the girl sleeping beside me. Violet was the only one here for me, besides Cannon but he was an annoying piece of crap as much as I loved him. When I wasn't busy preparing for the tour, I was with Violet and most of the time, she talked to me about my disease and helped me through it. I was so happy I was with her again.

But now, I had to leave for three months.

I turned to face Violet, still sound asleep. "Vi," I said softly, gently shaking her. She stirred a bit before opening her eyes. "I have to go."

She immediately frowned. "What? But....But it's only...."

       "It's March 1st," I reminded. "My tour."

"Already?" she asked. "So....So we can't see each other for three months?"

"Well, there's always videochat," I said. "And if you ever want to see me anywhere on the tour, I'll pay for you to visit."

"I can't ask you to do that."

"You're not asking, I'm saying," I said. "After being here for me for the past week, I want to. Anyway, my dad called. He said I have to head home because we're leaving soon."

"Okay," Violet said softly and I saw a few tears in her eyes.

"Hey, don't cry," I said just as soft, wiping the tears away.

"I'm sorry," she said in a small whisper. "It's just that I was stupid enough to break up with you two months ago and then we got back together and now I'm losing you again."

"Vi, you're not losing me," I said. "I'm coming back. It's not like I'm permanently moving somewhere. I'll be back before you know it. And like I said, if you ever want to visit me, just tell me when and I'll pay for the trip. Okay?" Violet nodded, and I leaned down and pressed my lips on his. "As much as I don't want to, I really have to leave."
