"Hailey. Stop scaring us like that!" Riley scolded lightly.
"Sorry guys..." I mumbled, sitting up, and propping myself up higher against the cushions.
"Well, how you feeling?" Justin asked from the back of the couch.
Sam was holding my right hand, from over the back of the couch. Riley was holding my left hand from the same place on the floor.
"Better actually..." I trailed off. I would have thought passing out three times in one day would have more of an exhausting effect on a person. But I guess I don't exactly fit under the category of 'person' so much...
"I'm tired though." I yawned.
I gently slid my legs to the floor, preparing myself.
"I'll help you there. Someone take her blanket," He offered, pointing to my purple blanket as well.
He put his arm around my back, under my arms.
"Thanks." I stood up with his assistants, being hit by an instant wave of dizziness, and would have fallen back down again, if it hadn't been for my brother holding most of my weight already.
"Are you alright?"
"Yeah. It's gone now."
"Good."
The first step on my injured leg was agonizing. I bit my lip though, and toughed through it.
"How about I carry you up the stairs?" He suggested.
But my eyes were locked on the intimidating challenge of stairs before me.
I shook my head, declining.
He didn't say anything.
I was probably on the third step before I couldn't take it anymore. Both my leg, and my ribs were screaming in protest.
"Ow." I said, as Riley scooped my up gently into his arms.
"I know... It's going to be alright soon." His face was pained. The same expression hadn't left his face since I woke the first time.
The familiarity of my bed, has me sighing in content.
My warm comforter is draped over me.
I instantly fall into a deep, beautiful dream filled sleep, for one of the first times in my entire life.
