The school looked bright, and packed in the night, as we pulled into the full parking lot. People stood outside the school, doing God knows what, and music caused small vibrations in the ground. When we got inside, we made our way to the gym, hand in hand, where the dance was being held.
There were lots of people dancing and grinding, when we opened the doors. Riley, Brent, Justin, Jason, Cameron, and Jared, were all here.
"Hey guys." I smiled, still nervous.
"Hey sis, havin fun yet?" Riley smirked.
"We just got here..."
"Oh, yeah.... right."
I rolled my eyes.
"So... what do people do at dances usually?
"Um, talk? dance?" Chrsitian answered.
"Wanna request a song, Hailey?" Cameron asked.
"Sure, how do you do that?"
He motioned for me to follow him.
************************* Christians P.O.V. ******************************
She walked away with her brother, towards the DJ at the front.
"Hey can I talk to you?" Riley asked.
"Uh, sure?"
"Alone."
We walked outside to the quiet night.
"Yeah? What's up?" I crossed my arms over my chest.
"It's just, Hailey's never had a boyfriend before, ok? Please don't break my sister's heart," He pleaded, eyes wide, and begging.
"No problem, man. I love your sister. I could never even think about breaking her heart," I replied seriously.
"Cool, dude- and one more thing, If anything EVER happens to her while in your care- and I don't care if it was an accident, or completely intentional- you're dead. Got it?" He suddenly became serious.
"Of course, Riley. I'll protect her with my life. Swear," I pledged. And I WOULD do anything to protect her, even it meant loosing anything I've ever worked for, or cared for, because she's my life now. She matters most.
"Good. 'Cuz my sister means the world to me, and if anything were to happen to her..." He stopped, getting choked at the thought.
"I promise man."
"Cool," He stuck his hand out for me to shake.
I shook it.
"Hey guys, what are you two doing out here?" Hailey and Cameron came out.
"Oh nothing, sis. Just needed a little fresh air," He lied smoothly.
"Oh, ok."
As we made our way back into the school, the other two boys ran ahead infront of us. I held the door open for Hailey.
"After you," I smiled, ushering her with my arm.
She blushed, causing me to smile even wider.
"Hey this is the song I requested!" She smiled, and started swaying to the music a bit.
I didn't recognize the song, "What is it?"
