SABOT(AGE) LOVE
Nicholas James.
26. October. Tuesday, 5 p.m. Wonderland Organisation. San Lorenzo Base.
IT WAS AN eeearl grey afternoon in San Lorenzo when the sky fell down. The King of Hearts called and the next thing I knew, I was in a car heading to Wonderland Org's base.
The Knave, Arthur Lukas, led me to a super secret super villain room. The room was dimly lit, with an ebony couch of unbridled possibilities-could be a couch to Narnia or a magical couch-sleigh ride. Across the couch was a desk, with a solitary lamp, and my favourite cousin—Nathan.
"Please take a seat," said Nathan, motioning to the boring, steel chair near the desk.
I turned all the lights on. This super secret super villain room was located just beside a swimming pool resort and I could hear the squeals and shrieks of joy, which kinda ruined the atmosphere of evil.
Then I dived on the couch.
"Ciao, Nathan," I greeted, swinging my legs up in the air.
"Ciao, Nicholas," he greeted back exasperatedly, through gritted teeth. "How's the plan going?"
I gazed at my fingernails with a smug smile. "It's going quite well. The stage for the grand finale's already decorated with glitters." I raised my shoulders. "Actually, crepe paper and wood for the props, but I'll make sure they cover it with enough glitters."
"That's just the third part of the Mad Hatter's plan, right?"
"Yes! And guess what? I tweeeaked it a little bit to make it fancier, given that you've told me little to nothing about the third part, the murders, the game of tag—actually I've been calling it the Death Game of Tag—anyway, ciao Nathan, why are we here again?"
"The Dormouse called."
"Oh yeah?"
"Apparently, there has been changes in the Mad Hatter's plan."
I think all my sparkles dropped and fell to the cold, hard, ground. I fought to keep a smile on my face. "How can that change, my father has died, nobody can change it, he's the only Mad Hatter with a plan."
"No, of course your father can't change it," Nathan clarified, "it has changed in a way that the executives has decided to give you the entire Mad Hatter's plan."
"All of it?" I stood up. "You're not giving me teeny-tiny tasks to complete one-by-one, you're giving me the whole plan? Why?"
Nathan shook his head. "I don't know. I was told that somehow, you have earned the executives' trust."
My eyes widened. My sparkles were back up. "I did?"
He handed me a thick binder. "Here. They said it's all up to you, do whatever you want."
