Kylo remembers Rey

The Sand

I handed Dreama off to Finn and lowered the ramp.
Rey fell to the ground with a thud.
I ran as fast as I could to her.
I felt a drop of rain and a downpour came a few seconds afterwards.
I crouched down and held her in my arms.
I didn't pay attention to Luke or Snoke.

"Rey wake up" I said as I smacked her on the face.

I put my hand on her neck to feel a pulse.

I felt no thump.
I checked her wrist and there was no beat.

"Rey... no please don't die"

I screamed.
The mud was starting to drown her.
I pulled her up and carried her in my arms.

"IS SHE OKAY" Finn said as I put her on the floor of the ship.

I didn't answer him.

I turned around and headed for Snoke.
He was still fighting with Luke.
Luke had managed to cut Snoke on the arm but nothing else was damaged.
I pulled out my lightsaber and stood there.

"Ben you've finally come to join" Snoke said.

As the rain drenched me I noticed a flicker in the sky.
Lightning.
I backed up.

"LUKE ITS A LIGHTNING STORM WE HAVE TO GO OUT OF HERE" I said.

Snoke chased us.
The lightning began to strike the ground I almost got hit.
A loud crack made me fall as well as Luke.
I scream followed.
Snoke layed on the ground smoke billowing in the air above him.
He got hit.

"Is he dead" Luke said.

"Just go to the ship I will see" I said.

I looked over his body.
His eyes were shut and he was crippled.
Then life came back to him.

He started laughing hysterically.

"Ben I killed her"

Before he could say another word I put my lightsaber in his heart.
He choked on his own blood and I pushed him down in the mud until he was hidden.

It was done...

I held on to the fact that Rey wasn't dead for a couple of years after that.
I didn't know how to cope.
I often would sit and think about her and got lost in the dark of it.
I think I would have died without Dreama.
That little girl was my everything.
She had the brightest smile and had a love for flying.
She got that from Poe.
As the years went on we both found out that she had the force. Luke trained her on how to use it and for the good.
She laughed at me when I told her stories on how I used to be the dark and menacing
KYLO REN.
I laughed too considering how bad of a storyteller I was.
As she grew older she started to go on adventures and always wanted me by her side.
I told her she should go on her own but always insisted that I would come with her.

Now that I am old I sit here and think about one thing that has always made me smile.

I took Dreama to the water for the first time and she complained on how the sand felt weird on her toes.

"Daddy I don't like the sand it feels weird" she said

"You know who loved the sand" I said

"Who?"

"Your mother" I said with a chuckle

"Mommy liked the sand?" She said with a confused look on her face.

"Yes she grew up in the sand, what do you think about that" I said.

"I think that's crazy" she said as she tugged on my arm.

"Why did she love the sand so much" she said.

"She grew up there" I said.

"I'm glad I got you so I don't have to grow up in the sand" she said while splashing in the water.

She then looked up at me with her big brown eyes and I swooped her up in my arms.

"Daddy I love you"

"I love you too"

I knew then everything was going to be okay...
