4 years after Rey and Poe died...

Kylo's point of view

Everyone has something that haunts them but when it tries to overtake you that's when you reach the edge of insanity. Mourning for Rey didn't go away after a couple of months or a year. It continued to follow me every single day.

It was a hot day and Dreama was holding a lightsaber. She continued to swing it around until I took hold of it and turned it off.

"Stop Stop Stop why are you doing that," she said while hitting me on the leg.

She was four years old and was the most beautiful little girl I had ever seen. Even though she wasn't my blood I didn't care in the least. In the past years watching her grow was the best thing that has ever happened in my life. Since defeating Snoke there had been nothing in the galaxy that was bad. Or at least that I knew of. Dreama and I were isolated in Jakku and no one bothered us. We liked the little town but she also wanted to live where there was water. She loved the sand but also the water.

"You are going to hurt yourself," I said to her while picking her up in my arms.

She giggled and pointed off into the distance. I heard the sound of a ship landing but it was normal, Jakku was a planet of trade.

When Rey died there had been no other woman to take her place. There was one girl named Laela about a year or so ago that was... I don't know. She understood me and Dreama loved her.
Dreama called her mom and that killed me.
My violent nightmares at night became vivid and I woke up screaming and hit Laela across the face. She couldn't take it anymore and that night she left. I really loved that woman but she knew that I still loved Rey more...
Dreama didn't know what had happened and cried for weeks. I never thought it was going to stop.

As I looked at the ship Dreama was still pointing at it. The ship looked very unfamiliar. I watched the dirt fly off the ground and it hit with a hard thud. I carried Dreama into the house not caring much about the ship and told her to go and get ready for dinner. But something told me to go back outside.

When I walked outside people were gasping and screaming. Even the creatures were going insane.
I put my hand over my eyes to block the beating sun and stared harder at the figure getting out of the ship.
As she turned to face me I dropped to my knees.
It was Rey and she knew it was me.
