"Wait so your saying your my mate" I ask baffled "Ha yes" he says then looks at his hands. "Why do you look so sad,"I ask "well" he began "the only reason your parents let me tell you is because I said I would leave until you graduate." "BUT THAT'S THREE YEARS" I say in disbelief. "I know I know" he says trying to calm me down "but since I haven't marked you if won't affect you." "Marked?" I say a little calmer but now I'm confused. "Shit" he says running his fingers through his hair and standing up. "Sorry" he says while walking out the door. "Wait Alex what do you mean marked and where are you going?" I ask walking after him. "I'm so sorry" he says again then starts to walk faster. When I get to the living room I'm stopped by Elizabeth and Augustus. "What are you doing" I ask while trying to get to Alex. "We're just following orders" Augustus says holding me back. They sit me on the couch and then Elizabeth sits on me so I can't move. After about five minutes my parents walk in as Elizabeth gets off me. "Where is he " I ask my parents "he's gone I assume he told you about the deal" the say nonchalantly. "Ya he did so what does marking mean?" I ask my eyes glued to my parents. My father looks angry but my mother just says "when you see Alex again you can ask him. "

It's been a couple hours since Alex left and no one is answering my questions. Elizabeth doesn't know the answers I need so we've just been sitting in my room watching Netflix. They locked us in my room because Augustus and my parents apparently have some important business they need to cover and me and Elizabeth are not allowed to hear. "So you want to just stay the night I mean who knows how long they'll be talking" I ask Elizabeth because it's already midnight. "Yep" she says and starts going through my closet for pajamas. I do the same and after we're dressed I turn off the light and we go to bed. I have school in the morning and I don't need anymore trouble getting up.
