(flashback)

Tyler and Josh had been in this interview for the past couple of minutes and by that Tyler meant almost an hour. Tyler always thought that after awhile it gets kind of boring. Just standing there answering the same old questions just like they do with every interview and will with the next 30.

Tyler had just been asked how Josh and Tyler met for the first time and to that he laughed. You see to spice things up a bit in interviews when asked that question they like to make up a new story each time as to how they've met. Something Tyler really enjoyed. It added a lot of fun to the interviews that he considered boring most times. He liked making up stories and seeing what he could get out of them, especially if Josh was making up the story.

Josh spoke with laughter in the back of his voice. "Well you see, Tyler used to be a lifeguard at a pool I used to swim at all the time with. . . well myself because I was a loner." Tyler could not suppress the smile that had just crept its way onto his face. A life guard? Of all the thing? A life guard?

"Anyways, I'm a big cat person if you didn't know." Josh said gesturing to the cat sweater he had been wearing at the moment. ". . . and that day I got a scratch on my right forearm from one of my cats. When I had the idea of swimming I had completely forgotten about the horrific scratch I had received earlier that day." Josh spoke with utter joy and a smile with every word. Tyler couldn't help but notice how cute Josh's smile was, something he never thought about before. Nonetheless the story carried on as Tyler continued to become a laughing mess.

Josh always managed to make up the best stories. Tyler's stories didn't compare to Josh's he thought to himself. And Tyler was okay with that he'd rather listen to Josh make up a story as to how they met instead of make one up himself. He was more of an observer when it came to things like that. He had come to find that he was just better in the back of stories adding little details here and there that Josh had so obviously forgotten in those very true stories about how they met.

"Now when I jumped into the water, like I said I had completely forgotten about the cat scratch. So when my body had hit the water it felt like my body had become paralyzed. I just couldn't move. . . " Josh broke out into a pit of laughter and so did Tyler. Josh always had to over exaggerate stories, making them much better to listen to. What even was this story? For sure one of the stupidest things Tyler had ever heard in his life and it was great.

"I'm. . . I'm sorry." Josh struggled to say through laughs. Tyler struggled to regain his breath after that and soon both Tyler and Josh were silent. It had become quite awkward after that. Everyone in the room that had been laughing with them went silent when they did, patiently waiting for Josh to finish his story. It had kind of bothered Tyler a lot. Giving him unwanted anxiety that made his chest hurt. He nudged Josh to continue hoping that if the silence had gone away so would the pain in his chest.

Josh seemed to understand as you continued on, "That scratch hurt so bad! Like who would have thought?" Josh spoke up smiling from ear to ear. Tyler just couldn't help himself as he let out another croak of laughter.

Josh had to take a few seconds to concentrate on what he would say next. "I was struggling in the water. . . you know because my forearm was in so much pain. Luckily right before I lost all hope the lifeguard, Tyler came to save my day." Josh laughed looking at Tyler which only made Tyler break out into laughter himself.

"I- I was a real hero that day!" Tyler spoke with sarcasm continuing to laugh with Josh.

The interviewer looked really sick from laughing so hard at this horrible story. He struggled to catch his breath just as Tyler and Josh did.

"When I opened my eyes that's when I saw Tyler. Before I could have said anything he asked me the question that I will never forget." Josh had to look away for a second to regain strength and hold back the urge to laugh. "He asked me if I wanted to start a band with him and of course I said yes!"
