Drake and Chiron led me to the big house. Chiron motioned for me and Drake to wait as he crouched through the door. I heard welcomes, and plenty of laughing inside. There was a women's voice, and a man's voice that I didn't recognize.
Chiron opened the door. "Come in, children."
I walked in and saw a middle aged couple sitting beside each other on the small, old grey couch. The girl had her left side too me, but she had honey blonde, long curly hair, and a small, lean figure. The man, sitting across from her was facing me. He looked like me. Dark black hair, a tall, fit figure, and sea green eyes, though they were darker than my neon blue-green ones.
The couple stopped talking, and stood.
Chiron laid a hand on my shoulder, "Atlanta, this is Percy and Annabeth Jackson. Percy, this is Atlanta Johnson, your younger sister."
Percy green eyes sparkled with delight. "Another Poseidon hero.... Amazing."
I smiled shyly. "Not sure I'm a hero yet, but I'm getting there."
Drake scoffed. "Yeah. Your totally not a hero. You just handled a kraken and two giant guards all by yourself."
I smirked at him. "Mister sarcastic."
Percy laughed. "Your just starting to see the beginning of your strength, Atlanta."
Percy took notice of the scar beneath my left eye.
"Where did you get that?" He asked pointing at it.
I touched it. "Some invisible creature sliced me."
"And she's lucky she lived through it. The knife had poison on it that I couldn't even recognize." Chiron stated.
"Looks familiar......" Percy winced. Annabeth grabbed his hand.
She smiled at me. "Nice to meet you by the way Atlanta."
I nodded in agreement. While we were talked for a swift moment, Percy eyed the dagger on my belt.
"Why do you have a knife?" He asked.
I pulled it out of the sheath. Seven
inches of celestial bronze glimmered in my right hand.
"What's wrong with it?"
"It's unbalanced isn't it? Too light?"
I nodded.
"You probably need a sword." Percy suggested.
"It's the same problem." Drake pointed out.
Percy thought for a moment.
"Annabeth, hand me my bag please."
Annabeth handed him a small, sleek black hiking bag. He unzipped the smallest pocket, and took out a sliver, bronze pen.
"Try this." He placed it on my hand.
I looked at him quizzily.
"Uncap it."
I took the transparent cap off, and the pen grew. It ended up into three feet, of  celestial bronze. For once, it was a balanced weapon.
"Whoa.." I whistled.
Percy smiled. "Amazing isn't it?"
I nodded, not taking my gaze off the sword.
"It's name is Anaklusmos."
"Riptide." I translated, gripping the hilt tightly.
"Percy. I know what you are thinking. Think carefully."  Chiron warned.
Percy chuckled. "It will be fine, Chiron. No monster has attacked us in many years. Perhaps we cannot cause trouble anymore, because of our old age. The sword will do good, with her."
I looked confused at Percy.
He walked forward, and pushed the cap  further into my hand. "Take it. I pass the gift from our father, down too you, Atlanta Johnson."
I looked up, my eyes wide. Percy smiled.
Drake wolf whistled. "Pretty cool birthday gift huh?"
Percy beamed. "And Happy Birthday."
I looked intently at the sword. "Your seriously just going to give it too me?"
Percy nodded. "It is from our father. I grow older each passing moment. It was time I pass it on."
I looked up at him. "Thank you so much."
He chuckled. "No problem."
"Hopefully it will help in the war." Drake stated.
Annabeth coughed. "Another war? With who?"
Chiron cleared his throat. "Ares is trying to overthrow Zeus."
Percy eyes closed. "My least favorite war god. You be sure and tell us if you need help. I can get lots of people to pitch in."
Chiron smiled, for once not looking tired or sad, but alive and happy. "Gladly Percy. You two may go on home, it is almost curfew. Please come visit whenever you'd like."
We all stood, gave hugs and shook hands, and went out separate ways. Drake and I headed to the cabins together. We had stopped in front of my cabin when Drake grasped my hand loosely.
"Well that was amazing wasn't it?" He smiled, looking slightly down at me.
I laughed. "Yeah. But all good things come to an end."
Drake nodded. "I should get to my cabin, see you on the morning." He hugged me tightly, and sprinted off.
Once inside my cabin, for the first time in weeks, I pulled my new sword out of my front jean shorts pocket. Anaklusmos was engraved into the shiny bronze.
Percy words replayed in my head. Your just barely seeing the beginning of your strength.
With this new sword, I could almost see it.
