CHAPTER 6

I am looking or should i say ogling him from the back. He's really one fine specimen. I can't find any fault in his profile, every angle can be picture perfect.

He suddenly look in the rear view mirror and caught me staring at him intently. He just raise his eyebrows at me and then ignored me completely.

I'm starting to hate this guy. Who does he think he is some kind of royalty? He may look yummy and all but his attitude is not desirable.. Fudge, did i just say yummy. Bummer, this is what happens when you constatly read teen flick series.

"Hey Casper, can you help me out later....." i heard luke saying and i just drifted out for a moment because i havent had proper sleep since i started having that weird dream.

"Hey Meg you can wake up now, we're at school. Luke left already when he can't seem to wake you. " i heard soft voice in my ears.

I almost jump out of my skin when i open my eyes and realize that Casper was so close to me, i could see the perfect texture of his face.

"Oh i'm sorry. I was so tired and.." i hurriedly stumble out of the car. I can feel the heat in my face.

"No need to explain, I'm not interested anyway. I just never realized that you're decent looking up close." He smirk then walk away from me to go to his class.

I was left speechless on the spot. Did he just compliment me? Decent looking means i look good right? Teeheehee... i feel shy all of a sudden. Oh Meg, you are so caught in his charms now.

"Hey, you have a funny expression on your face? Did something happen? " Rhian ask me while waiting for our teacher.

"What funny face? I'm just thinking about someone... wait, i mean of something." I felt flushed all of a sudden. As much as it pains me to admit but i am daydreaming about Casper.

"Hmmm, i think you have a crush on someone, tell me" Rhian insisted.

" I don't know if i have a crush on him or what but...."

"Oohhh, i thought so.. so there is a guy then?"

" Okay i just find Casper incredibly attractive. You can't blame me, it's his fault for being handsome and all." I replied casually.

"Oh Meg, i don't blame you at all. A lot of girls worship the path he walks on. But..." she was biting her lips like she don't want to tell me something.

"It's okay Rhian, i know i won't stand a chance with him. And it's not like i want to have a relationship with him. I like him but there is something that isn't right. I mean there is some kind of push and pull between us. I know it's really complicated and i can't explain it."

"I'm sorry Meg, but i don't think you and Casper have much in common. It will never work. Don't get me wrong Meg, you are really beautiful and all but you wouldn't understand. It's better if you keep your distance from him." Rhian sadly shook her head while comforting me.

I felt a little down the whole day. I see Casper every now and then in the school ground. He is really very popular here but he doesn't have much friends with him. I think Luke is his only buddy in school. I was walking towards my locker with my head down when i collided with something hard. I almost bounce back when a firm hand steady me. I look up to see Casper's handsome face smiling down at me.

"Hey, luke went out with some friends. I want to ask you if you want me to take you home."

I was rooted in place, i was shocked to my core. Casper is asking me if he could take me home.

"Uhm, it's alright. I don't want to burden you."
" It's fine with me, i have nothing to do anyway. So let's go?" He asked with his eyebrows raised. I just nod and follow him on the way to his car.

" Is it really okay? I mean i got the impression that you don't like me much." I asked him straightforwardly.

He stopped all of a sudden and look at me with confusion on his face.

"What makes you think that? " he was actually puzzled that i would accussed him of such thing and i was confused.

" What? I mean you always ignore me, you never acknowledge me or anything."

" I'm sorry if i made you feel that way. It's just that i don't know how to talk to you." There's a faint blush on his face as he open his car door for me.

I'm beginning to blush myself, hmmm, so it seems that mr. gorgeous here is shy to me after all... I sit in front of his car and i'm a little nervous now being confined with him in his car.

"I don't exactly understand Meg, but it seems i felt a connection with you. I don't want you to have anything to do with me but"... he started talking as soon as we left the school ground.

"Wait Casper i know im out of your league, you don't need to explain." I cut him off

"No Meg, it's not because of that. I know this won't work... i don't know how i can explain it but i really have a very complicated life. You woudn't want to be mix up with someone like me."

Complicated? I wonder if he's in a gang or something.

"I don't know what to say Casper."

"Forget it, i'll just follow my own rules. I want to take this chance to discover what might be in store for us. I'll just take my chances."
