My Vampire Prince (VSLOW UPDATE)

CHAPTER 4

Luke was waiting for me at the parking lot after school. By the looks of him, he's been waiting a long while now.

"Where have you been Meg, I've been waiting here for an hour already. Classes ended a while ago why are you late. Did you get lost? I woudn't be surprise if you did. I'm kind of lost myself here too. If not for Casper I would look like a loser wandering this huge school."

My mom just arrived at the gate and we walked to where she park the car. Since we are underage we are not allowed to drive a car yet although I really have no intention to learn how to drive. But Luke already knows how since he enrolled in a driving school last summer and he can' t wait for our birthday this September so he could finally and officially have his driver's license.

" Really Luke, i can't remember you being a whiner before. And you can never be a loser even if you tried. " I rolled my eyes on my brother. It surprised me that he is feeling a bit out of place in St. Therese. He is the most adaptable person I've known.

"Yeah well, I don't know. I don't understand it either. I'm used to gaining friends easily. But as weird as it may sound but since Casper befriended me all my classmates and all the students for that matter seem to be distancing themselves to us." Luke was looking at his cellphone while talking at the same time. He is really talented like that, he can multitask except when it comes to household chores.

"Rhian said that his family is kind of powerful here. Maybe his father is the mayor or something." He just shrug and started texting all his friends back home.

I fished out my cellphone. I haven't looked at it all day. I' m not really like everyone who can't live a minute without using their phones. Maybe since I don't have friends to talk or text with. Looking at my inbox, I read Nina's messages telling me how she misses me and how things are different without me there. She told me everything that had happened to her on the first day of school. I was a little sad because I do miss her also. She's the only friend i have, my bestfriend.

'Hi Nina, sorry for the late reply. You know how I am with cellphone hehe. I'm glad you miss me coz i miss you too sissy. Hey you woudn't believe it but I actually acquire new friends here... Me? Isn't that funny.'

I texted her every detail of what happened even about Casper. Her reply was faster than I could compose a message.

'Well well well Meg, seems like you have a crush yiiiiiii..... Tell me the juicy details again'

'Hush, I'm a complete idiot as usual. He is gorgeous really but I don't know I felt drawn to him but I also feel like he's a danger or something.'

We texted a few more times and we promise to update each other everyday.

After dinner, I went in the library to find books to read. It's how I spend my time relaxing. I found my dad, reading in the corner of his study.

"Hey dad, how is everything?"

"Oh baby, I didn't hear you come in. There were a lot of files to be sorted and your mom is still busy in the house."

"I'll help you dad. I'm not doing anything anyway. School just starts so we don't have much homework.

My dad seem to dismiss the idea. I guess it's a very important research considering the secrecy of our unexpected relocation here. We don't usually care about our parents work. But I'm a bit curious now. My parents evade our question as to why we need to live here etc etc. My dad must be really in a hurry to finish filing because he change his mind and let me help him with some of the papers he is perusing.

I scan the pages and I was kind of surprise to read some folklore that I coudn't understand. It was written in a different language and a few translations in english were written at some part.

"Uhm dad, are you working on some kind of mythology or what. The last time I heard you and mom are historians so what's with this folklore achuchu..."

"It is the history of Ravenwood. We don't know yet because we haven't decipher the papers we've come across in the university. That's why we came here because we were told that a family here can be able to help us translate and understand the context of these. But we are sworn to secrecy to never mention anything about this book. So please Meg don't tell anyone I said something to you okay, even to your brother."

We finish bindingband sorting everything and I say goodnight to my dad after getting a teen flick book.

"Meg, be sure to wake up early tomorrow. Casper volunteered to take us to school. He got a license okay and a good driver so he says. Anyway I already told mom, I just don't like to burden her in bringing us to school everyday until i can drive my own car." Luke said before shutting the door on his room.

Great, just great, now i'm getting anxious again. I don't want to make a fool of myself in front of Casper again. I groaned and flop myself on my bed. And before I know it, I'm dreaming about the dark forest again but this time the mysterious guy is in it again.

The next update will be tomorrow. I want to write faster so as not to forget the storyline I have finally made.
