My Vampire Prince (VSLOW UPDATE)

CHAPTER 8

I didn't know that you can faint in dreams. I blink my eyes and i saw Sebastian's worried face.

"I'm sorry Meg, Clara is being childish. Don't worry she won't hurt you. She was just worried for me." he was touching my forehead gingerly.

"Who is she? And are you really a vampire?" I want to punch myself... this is really what happens when i keep reading Twilight. I am dreaming of having my own Edward.

"She's Clara my cousin. She was just shocked to see you here not realizing that you are really not here." He looks at me like i should know what he is talking about.

Oh i get it, i'm really not here because i'm still in my bed dreaming. Even i was fooled enough to forget that this is just all a pigment of my overimaginative subconscious.

"Yes i understand. So you are a vampire huh. A prince vampire, how cliche." I chuckle a little thinking of how incredulous this is going.

"I know right. It is really forbidden to fall in love with humans. That's why i am very careful not to be seen with you. I'm from a pureblood and my father is the king of this land."

"There are other kingdoms of course. They are scattered all around the world. But this land is our sanctuary. We want to live in peace that's why secrecy is of utmost important."

"Wait, so are you a hundred year old vamp? Do you sparkle in the light like Edward? Oh my, do you find my blood irresistable?" I try to remember everything i read in Twilight.

"Who's Edward? " he was really confuse now.
" And why would we sparkle in the light?

I smiled sheepishly at him. So this plot is slightly different from Twilight. I really have one hell of a dream.

"So tell me about your kind of vampire?"

"We are not what you think we are. Yes we drink blood but born vamps, well that's us obviously, need only to drink at least once a week to regenerate our cells. That's why people think that we are immortal. But we are not.We are basically like humans except for having sharp reflexes and senses. We can eat, be expose in sunlight although our senses become a little dull in daytime."

I'm mesmerized by his story. It's like reading a new novel with me and Seb as the lead cast.

"We can have offsprings and we can die Meg, but we can halt aging and we don't get sick or hurt easily. It's like our genes are mutated and our cells repair itself constantly and blood is the vitamins to feed the cells. That's why if we get injured, our body heals itself sometimes with a little damage left. I don't know how it all started. My ancestors are one of the first known vampires. That's why we are the pureblood. Some older vamps fell in love with humans and so their blood becomes diluted in time."

"I thought it's forbidden to tell humans about you?"

"Those who find their mates can't really keep secrets with each other. And since the mates are predestined for each other it's easy for some to accept the other being vampires."

"Wait you mean to say some cannot accept their vampire mate?" I really don't mind at all besides we are only in a dream.

"Yes, i don't know if they were true mates but a lot of them perish on the hands of their so called lovers."

"I will never do that to you Seb. I'm not scared. Wait, you didn't answer me. How old are you?"

" I'm 18. What? You think i'm old. Do i look old to you?"

"You're the one who told me that you can halt your aging process."

"At the age of 18 we are considered matured already and we can choose to stop, delay or continue to aging."

He continue to tell me all i need to know about their kind. I love listening to him.

"Listen, i think you are about to wake up now, i dont know if i can meet you here again because i will be busy this coming weeks. But know that i will find you and i'll remember your promise of love to me."

And just like that the dream fade away.
