My Vampire Prince (VSLOW UPDATE)

CHAPTER 10

The weirdness that happened at home was quickly forgotten when we are inside Casper's car. I'm so nervous I thought my lips will bleed from my biting it every so often.

I don't really date. I feel so awkward and Casper is not saying anything. He is kind of distracted.

"Hey, where are we going?" I asked Casper

"There is a mall in the cental district, we can eat dinner first then catch a movie."

"Oh, I didn't know Ravenwood has a mall." I was really surprised.

"You didn't go out much since you came here, but it's pretty decent here although it's kind of a remote place."

"Yeah, I guess."

I've only been to school and our home so I wouldn't really know any other place here.

After a long and winding road surrounded by thick forest we came up to an impossibly impressive district. It's like all of a sudden we are in a bustling city. There are cute shops, cafes, bookstores. Although there are only few of them i can tell that this place has everything the townspeople might need. In the center of it all lies a 3 level building.

"Wow, King's Mall huh. It's quite impressive." It's not big but it is really magestic and sophisticated in design. The columns of the facade are big and intricate with gold. A lot of trimmings ang lights can be seen around the perimeter of the building.

Inside big chandeliers are the source of light in the hallways. The floors are made of marble so white you can actually see your reflection. Everything is of grandeur even the shops have a certain air of royalty in it.

" I didn't realize Ravenwood could have a mall like this. It's so breathtaking." I said in awe

"I'm glad you like it." Casper just said.

We went into this cozy little restaurant. We were immediately greeted by the staffs and were ushered to our seats with perfect view of a little fountain at the sides.

"Wow, I really have no words for this." I feel like my words consist of only wow today.

We are the only person dining at the moment. I began to get conscious again.

"Do you think the food here is good? It's dinner time but we are the only ones here. Or maybe the food are too pricey here." That may be the reason because i think Casper will not take me here if the food is bland here.

"This is the best restaurant here, trust me." He smiled at me and then the manager came hurriedly towards us. Before he could speak, Casper signals something and then the manager just stood rigidly and smiled to me.

"We are ready to serve your dinner sir." He bowed awkwardly then signals the waiters to serve our food.

"This is heavenly. I've never tasted anything like this before. Even the soup is to die for..." I am really enjoying the food that they served.

"Since you are such in a good mood now, i'd like to talk to you about something." Casper said

"But first i want to ask you why you chose to live here at Ravenwood." He was really looking at me attentively now.

"Well, I didn't choose to live or study here. But my parents want us to transfer here because of work. They don't want to leave us at Yorks so as much as Luke and I don't want to transfer , we came here with them." I told him honestly.

"Oh i see, anyway how do you like Ravenwood so far?"

" It's okay, as you point out earlier i haven't been anywhere except our house and school so i can't say much." I shrug

We finish eating and before we leave he stands and talk to the manager about something, maybe he's paying there so I wouldn' t see how much our food cost, then we went out to walk inside the mall.

There are only few persons shopping. I wonder why it is still open considering the customers that are here, this mall should be bankrupt already.

"Hey, Let's walk around a bit first before we watch the movie. We still have time before the last show. " Casper
Lead me along the halls walking quietly beside me.

"You know i really like you Meg. I hope you will give me a chance to get a little closer to you." Casper said without preamble.

I was taken aback and i stop walking.

"I'm not asking you to like me back if you don't. I just want to have a chance to court you perhaps." He was blushing a little now. It makes me a little confident to know that i am the reason for that.

"You know i'll be hypocrite if i told you i don't like you. But i'm just surprised because why would you like me? You don"t even know me. " Maybe i just want to hear reassurance from him on why he likes me. I know i look pretty hot especially these days but i still believe that beauty is skin deep.

"We have a connection Meg. I feel happy when we are together. You are never boring and you are refreshingly honest. And of course you are really beautiful. You are blind if you can't see that.

"Well of course i'm gorgeous, no doubt about that." And i laughed out loud and suddenly all the awkwardness disappear between us.
