CHAPTER 9

How could you miss someone who isn't real, but i miss Seb. Maybe i'm busy at school that's why i don't dream about him anymore. I miss our dreamland adventures, our simple talks...

I then decided to text Nina.

'Hey sissy, i want to ask you a really weird question'

'What is it Meg?'

'Have you ever dreamt about your ideal guy or something like that?'

'Sure. I think it's just normal to dream about someone we like.'

'But what if you've never seen that person before but keeps on invading my dreams and...'

'Uhm Meg are you crushing on some fictitious character now? Maybe he just represent someone you will eventually fall in love with.'

I texted her again but on some trivial things about school since we have a lot of catching up to do.

During dinner my parents were asking Luke and I what we want for our birthday. I totally forgot it's almost the end of September. How time flies.

"You know what i want mom, i really like to have my own car." Luke is making puppy dog eyes to our parents. He is really so childish at home.

"We'll think about it Luke. We are not exactly rich but let's see first if it can fit our budget." My dad says.

"Well i don't need anything, nothing special for me ." I told my parents. I really don't like celebrating my birthday at all.

Late that night i received a text from Casper.

'Are you free tomorrow night. We could watch a movie?'

I almost drop my phone. Tomorrow is sunday and i just normally hang here at home. And now Casper is asking me out.. Wow, it must be my lucky night.

'Are you asking me out?'

'Yes, i just did, right?'

Omygosh. Lets face it, Casper is really gorgeous, in fact he reminds me of someone but i don't remember who. I will be a hypocrite if i say i don't like him. I really like him, not too strong emotion like love or anything. I just like him period.

'Ok.' I replied. I don't want to add anything for i might say something stupid.

'That's great. I'll pick you up at 5pm.'

I was smiling while getting water from the fridge when Luke suddenly appear making me jump in surprised.

"Why do you always do that. I'll have a heart attack at a very young age you know." I said clutching my chest.

"You're the one who doesn't pay attention and now you are blaming me for startling you?"

Oh right i may be spacing out a bit there. Oh gosh, how can i tell Luke without making it look like Casper and I are dating, which we are not....... yet...

"Uhm Luke, Casper ask me to watch a movie with him. What do you think?" I really want to know what he thinks about Casper.

He creased his forehead and i thought he will object

"Well, Casper is nice although a little mysterious. I mean what harm can a movie do right?"

"Yey, thanks bro. It's nothing special anyway. We're just going to watch a movie."

It's already 4pm and i still can't decide what to wear. This is my first time to actually go out with a guy. Nobody notice me before in Yorks.

I looked at myself in the mirror and i was surprised to see myself.

"Wow Meg,you are getting hot."

Well it's true, my skin looks fresh and blemish free. My hair is longer and thicker now. I felt like a shampoo model with my hair falling down my back soft and shiny. And i can see that my curves are really developing. I don't remember looking this good. I may be a late bloomer.

I settle for my black skinny jeans, and my favorite pink sweatshirt. I'll just go with comfort for now. I don't want Casper to think that i was too eager to be with him.

I heard our doorbell rang and my dad calling me downstairs.

I found Casper with my family in the living room. My dad was clasping my mom's hand and looks a little uncomfortable maybe? Only Luke seems at ease at the moment.

"Casper take care of my sister okay. This is actually her first time to go out with a guy." I really wanted to punch Luke at that moment.

"Don't worry Mr. and Mrs. Alodia i will take care of your daughter. And i can promise you that no harm will come to her." Casper was so serious and formal with my parents. It's like he was assuring my parents about something.

"We'll hold on to your word Casper." My father says to Casper.

We said our goodbyes and before climbing his car i stop to ask him about what happened inside.

"What is that all about? Have you met my parents before?"

"No, Come on Meg. We'd better hurry your dad wants you to be home early." He just dismiss me and hurriedly open the car door for me.
