CHAPTER 18

I was so shocked to see Sebastian that my mouth is literally open before I realized that he is still holding me. I stand upright and fix myself, I can feel myself getting conscious for being so clumsy.

"Hey, what are you doing here? Casper just left if you are looking for him." I can feel my heart beating a little faster than before. I still feel embarassed around him.

"Uhm I actually heard everything. Hey, I am not eavesdropping, it just so happened I was here first and I saw you guys talking all of a sudden. I didn't leave because I was here first and i'm kind of curious." He said sheepishly. He is adorable when he looks so shy with a slight blush on his cheeks.

I scold myself immediately. What is wrong with me? I shouldn't be attracted to Casper's twin brother for Christ sake. But I can't help it, it's like there's a pull from within him that I can't ignore.

"It's okay." I shrug nonchalantly but inside I really feel weird like I want to hyperventilate or something.

"Please don't take it against Casper if ... if there are things he can't tell you. He is having a hard time right now. He really likes you." He looks sad while saying that. I feel my heart constricting, it hurts me to see him sad. It's really confusing me.

"I just wish he would trust me enough to tell me what's bothering him. Tell me Seb, what is so complicated with your lives that my parents are wary about?" I look at him in the eye and he look back at me. There are a lot of emotions in there that I can't decipher.

"I want to tell you everything Meg but it is not my place to do so. If it was me only I will tell you everything you need to know but Casper... it is really complicated." We were so absorb in our conversation when all of a sudden a loud noise in the forest made me jump.

"What the hell is that?" I feel unsafe all of a sudden. I tried looking at the forest but I can't see beyond the thick trees that surrounds the entrance to the forest. Seb suddenly yank my hand and pull me to him. He stands in front of me and is backing me up to a near tree.

"Don't worry Meg, I won't let anything happen to you okay. We just need to get out of here. Lets get back to your house." He is so tense while surveying our surrounding. Then to my surprise he carry me bridal style and run towards our house.

I was so startled by his closeness that I didn't realize how fast he is running. Then he carefully put me down outside my door. I was still speechless, i'm just gaping at him processing what just happened.

"Are you alright?" He brush my cheeks tenderly and I fought the urge to sigh and close my eyes. Instead i shook myself to reality.

"I'm fine. But uhm what happened? I mean you don't have to carry me here.?" I can feel myself blushing again. Gosh, what is wrong with me. He is Casper's brother.

He actually looks embarassed and smile shyly at me.

"I'm sorry, i got carried away. But honestly you should not wander near the forest especially at night. It is not safe, there are a lot of scary things out there. You better get inside Meg. It isn't safe right now." He looks serious all of a sudden.

"What about you? Why don't you come in first? Anyway you're the one to talk when you are the one hanging out in the forest."

"Don't worry about me, I can take care of myself. Just go inside and lock the door okay. I promise to keep you safe." And with that he hold my hand and press it to his heart. My heart began to beat wildly. And before I can say or react, he walk away.

After closing the door and making sure to lock them, I went to the kitchen to drink some water. I feel so thirsty and giddy at the same time. I still can't believe myself. Casper is my boyfriend, I like him and I think I'm actually falling for him but I can't deny the chemistry Seb and I have. He is a gentleman and didn't take advantage of me because if anyone is looking, everyone can see that I am attracted to him but he even defend his twin.

I am still confused but I am so tired that I immediately fell asleep as soon as I lay on my bed.
