The removal guys arrived.
Everything's in place and the wifi is running. (A/N #priorities right?)
It's 1 in the morning and I check the time for Australia.
12 noon.
I need to Skype Alexa. I need to tell her.
I open up my laptop and go onto Skype.
It takes her five rings to pick up.
'Hey girl! Long time no see!' She says excitedly.
'Hey..' I mumble.
'Ok. Pause. Wassup?'
'Well I met Joe and Caspar today..'
'Really? Where!?'
'I live one number down from them.'
'AAAAGH OMGGG YOU ARE SO LUCKY!' Alexa screams into the computer.
I laugh.
'Yeah well get this..'
I tell her all that happened: the video on Joe's channel, the subtle flirts from both Caspar and Joe and then.. Finally... Caspar's kiss and my freak out.
Alexa is silent for a while.
'Wow... Emma. You sure get around.'
'Oi!' I laugh.
'No but in all seriousness, why did you freak out?' She asks softly.
'I guess I'm scared to love again after Eric. I'm afraid to have a relationship after what happened. I'm afraid he's joking.' I blurt.
'Emma.. Let me tell you this: Do you remember when I got bullied by Harry and Eric in nursery?'
'Yeah.'
'And do you remember how I stuck my fingers down my throat to throw up everyday so I didn't have to go into school?'
'Yes.' I sigh.
'After a while you came round and asked me what was up. I told you and you said in a high pitched voice-' she mimics a toddler voice- 'but Lexy, how will everyone know it's not true if you keep hiding away from it?'
'I did not sound like that!' I say indignantly.
'Oh but you did my friend.'
'Your point?' I ask.
'My point is that if you hide away from it, you'll never find out what true love is and whether or not Caspar was serious. You can't hide away from it forever and become the local spinster.'
I ponder this for a moment.
'Thanks.. I've got to get some shut eye, gonna design my room tomorrow.
Love ya.'
'Oh my god, mean girls right there!' She laughs. 'Anyways, talk when you can?'
'Sure. See ya.'
Alexa waves and I hang up.
I close the computer and get undressed for bed.
I fall asleep with Joe and Caspar on my mind.
Ugh what am I going to do about Caspar?
