Watchtower
~~Willow~~

"You ready?"

"To go into space and meet over twenty superheroes I've only ever seen on TV and spent most of my childhood and teenage years dreaming about?

"Of course!"

I laughed, kissing Connor's cheek. "Just a reminder, my mother is a tad over-protective, and I wouldn't put it past her if she Canary-cried you the moment you step foot in the Watchtower. And Batman is, well, Batman."

Chuckling, Connor squeezed my hand. "Even if she does, I have you to protect me."

I smiled, typing in the last bit of coordinates. "And just so you know, zeta teleportation may feel weird at first, but it is perfectly harmless."

"Recognize: Wildfire, B08. Connor Grace, A13. Authorization: Wildfire, B08."

By now, the entire team was gathered, going over last-minute details of the mission with Vykin and Dreamer. Flash, Roy, Oliver, and Dinah stood at the edge of the group with Olivia, who turned around to face me and Connor upon our arrival.

"Are you my babysitter?" Olivia asked. The team went silent, realizing that I had brought a guest.

Connor smiled, kneeling down to Olivia's height. "Yes. Though if you're the famous Livvy I've been hearing about, you knew that already."

I stroked my left wing out of nervous habit. Connor and his parents were astounded at my new wings, but treated me no differently than before, which I was extremely grateful for. Especially if Connor was going to be taking care of Olivia for who knows how long.

And then there was also the team's reaction to meeting my betrothed.

Oliver beamed at Connor, recognizing him. Artemis and the others who knew my backstory were starting to put the name to a person, and I could sense that Emma was slightly embarrassed after her last meeting with Connor. Oliver, walked over with his arm around Dinah, who held Olivia's hand, deviating from the rest of the team to meet Connor.

"Hey kid, nice to see you again."

"You as well, sir." Connor stood up and gave a charming smile, shaking Oliver's hand. then he turned to Dinah, his smile faltering slightly. "You must be her mother."

Dinah nodded stiffly. "I understand that you want to marry Willow?"

Connor took a deep breath. "With your blessing, hopefully. I love her to the ends of the universe. I'm afraid I will not desist in my plans to marry her if you refuse, even if that's the last thing I'll ever do."

To my surprise, Dinah smiled. "I'll expect nothing less."

Connor relaxed. "Thank you."

A tiny pile of feathers had fallen at my feet. The team had finished their meeting, and was now interested in meeting this "Other" Connor.

"Hello again." Emma made it there first, to give me moral support, and held out her hand, which connor shook, much to her relief.

"I want to apologize for my behavior the last time I saw you. Willow was right, I am very impatient." Emma admitted.

Connor nodded. "It's good you know you are. That way you can address that flaw and improve yourself.

Apology accepted."
