Guys, I think I've turned into Dragonfire. My whole body feels like it's covers in static electricity. Especially my hair.
0.o I just realized that Emma must have a heck of a time doing her hair. Have you seen how long it is!?!?
Anyway, nothing to do with this chapter, just my thought of the day. :)
June 5, 2018. 21:39.
Star City"...And God made a rainbow, to promise that he would never flood the Earth again." Connor Grace finished.
Olivia smiles up at him. "Read the one about David and Jonathan!" She begs.
"No." Connor firmly. It's half an hour past nine, you were supposed to be in bed an hour ago. Now go to sleep."
He pulls the covers up to her chin, giving Lion a gentle stroke.
"Keep the nightmares away, eh you vicious wildcat?" He chuckles. Lion yawns, staring back at him with yellow eyes.
The house is quiet as Connor shuts the door to Olivia's bedroom, preparing to go to bed himself. It may be the Queen's country house, but it still amazes him that his Willow lived with these people for five years.
He reaches into his pocket, pulling out a balled-up scrap of red cloth.
He can't wait to see her again.
Mrs. Grace has offered to do most of the wedding plans, but nothing will be definite until Willow and her team return.
Connor's daydreams of Willow are interrupted by a scream. He throws open the door to see Olivia sitting up in bed; shaking, pale, sweaty.
"Livvie, what's wrong?" He asks.
Olivia clutches her head, like she has a headache. Connor knows that this means she's having a vision.
"We have to get out of here." Olivia tells him. with surprising strength, she grabs his hand and runs out of the room.
"Olivia, what is it?" Connor asks panickedly. Olivia is nearly dragging him downstairs and outside to Willow's car, still wearing her pale pink PJs with lavender polka-dots.
"Call Batman!" She tosses him the emergency comm that Green Arrow and Black Canary gave him, just in case. He thought he'd never have to use it.
Connor places the earpiece in his ear and gets in the driver's seat. At Olivia's frantic instruction, he buckles up and takes off towards Star city.
"Excuse me, Mr. Batman, sir?" Connor is unsure how to address the Dark Knight, as they've never been formally introduced.
"I'm afraid this is his assistant. Who are you?" Connor may not be introduced to Batman yet, but he certainly knows that he is not British.
Olivia sighs and rolls her eyes. "Alfred, it's Olivia and Connor Grace, Willow's fiance. We need Batman and the League, now!" She shouts to be heard in the earpiece over the noise of the car.
"Miss Queen!" The British voice, Alfred, apparently, is a little more than surprised. "Whatever is the matter?"
"We're en-route to the Star City zeta-tubes, we'll meet them at the Watchtower. Dove out!" Olivia snaps her fingers, authority in her voice. Alfred must have listened to her, because the connection cuts out.
Five minutes later, Olivia directs Connor to park outside a seemingly abandoned alleyway.
"This way." She gets out when there is no one in sight on the street, leading Connor towards the wall at the end of the alley way, staring at a cement-filled crack.
