I stayed close to the house but I also walked around the area taking in the beautiful scenery. I could smell the fresh fruits and meats from the markets, which was about a mile away. Though I do still thirst for blood, which complicates things. I can hear the heartbeats of the humans that surround me. The delicate blood filling my mouth. Wait what am I talking about. I don't want to drink blood again! I have to see if there is anything human that's left in me. I wonder what my parents would think if I showed up at the house. They would probably throw me out in an instant. I gave out a soft sigh and that's when Sucram popped into my head.

"I'm hungry. Let's go find a tasty human to feed on."

I ignored him and tossed that thought out of my head. I couldn't feed from anyone. I just couldn't. I know that deep down inside me there is a small part of me that is still human. But, I know that if I don't satisfy my thirst and hunger I might snap and attack someone. I thought about it for a few seconds and then it hit me. What if I feed on something that's already dead. I gave off a small smirk and went for a walk completely forgetting that Giovanni told me not to venture out to far. Before I left I made sure to grab some money and then headed out to venture for some sort of food.

As soon as I left I could hear Sucram telling me to find a fresh source of food but I ignored him. I put my nose to the air to see if I can find any meat that any vendor was selling. I think I'll get some fish for now. I looked around to see if I could get any fish. When I finally caught a scent of fresh fish I quickly went to the food. I turned a corner and saw the fish vendor. I smiled and went up to him.

"Welcome young man! Care to buy some of my fresh fish? They were caught just this morning."

I smiled more and started to pick out what fish I wanted. I saw the biggest fish that was there. I chose that one and the vendor asked for 15 Florins. I counted out the money and handed it over to him and he gave me the fish. I took it and walked away back to the house. If you could even call it that. It looks more like a shack and on the inside there is only three rooms. The entrance and two rooms to sleep in but when I got there I could smell a certain scent that burned my nose. I slowly walked into the room and silently took down the sword that was affixed to the top of the door. I sat down the fish that was in my hand and slowly walked through the house. I then heard some clattering coming from my room and I went in to investigate. I creped up to the door and saw that it was cracked open. I looked through the crack and saw someone going through my things! I slowly opened the door and had the sword ready to strike at the intruder. I slowly put the blade to his neck and he stopped dead in his tracks.

"Turn around." I said.

The man slowly turned around and I saw his face and more importantly his black eyes. The man stared at me with a look that would stop a horse dead in its tracks. He just stared at me with those coal black eyes. Then he spoke.

"Where is Giovanni?" He said in a deep tone.

"H-he went out for a bit. I'm watching the place while he's gone. Who are you?" He looked at me and grinned a wide grin.

"Pardon the intrusion. But my name is Ramsa. I'm a friend of Giovanni. An old friend really." I didn't know whether or not to believe this man. I slowly lowered the sword from his neck and started to speak to him.

"I'm Marcus. Giovanni and I got here a couple of days ago. I'm sorry. I didn't know you knew him. I thought you were some thief breaking in."

He gave off a hearty laugh.

"No I'm no thief. I'm just a friend. Though Giovanni did tell me a while back to meet him here on this day and time. He was really clear on that. I still remember the lecture he gave me on not being late or something I don't remember. That was years ago and somehow I still remember it all. Isn't it funny how the brain works?"

I gave off a small chuckle and nodded at him. I looked closely at him and it looked like Ramsa took care of himself quite well. I put the sword down on the table and looked back at my fish and my stomach started to growl. I placed a hand on it and cleared my throat.

"I was just about to have some food. Would you like to join me?" He gave it some thought and nodded and then took the sword in hand and started to slice up the fish into slabs. I licked my lips at the sight of the fresh meat. I could probably eat a whole slab by myself but I still had to be civilized and eat correctly. Though I would have to use my hands, which I didn't really mind. I walked over to the table and sat down in a chair watching Ramsa slice the fish and once he was done he set down three large pieces of the fish right in front of me. I picked it up and sniffed in and then took a big bite out of the first piece. I've never had raw fish before but this actually tasted pretty good. I took a couple more bite and before I knew it the first piece was gone. Then I heard Sucram.

"I want fresher meat you damn brat."

I ignored him and just started to eat my food. I was so hungry but I knew this would have to settle. I took the second piece and quickly ate it. I didn't know that I was this hungry but I knew that I would have to be careful about what I eat and how much I eat. I took the other meat and placed it in my mouth but before I chewed I automatically started to suck the blood out of the meat it was cool and refreshing. I could feel myself getting more control of myself and that pleased me. If I can keep Sucram at bay then I might have a chance to truly still have some human in me. Once the blood was soaked into my stomach I started to take bites out of the meat. It wasn't big bites like the first piece but small more controllable bites that lasted. After the seventh bite I was finished and full I couldn't eat the third piece. I didn't hear Sucram nag at me to find fresher meat, which was a blessing to be the least. I smiled at how good the food was here. Back in Forgalini the food wasn't as great as this was so it made it easier to swallow down the fish than anything else that I've eaten. As I got up for a drink of water the door opened up and in comes Giovanni and two other guys that I didn't know. He looks at Ramsa and smiled wide.

"Ramsa! So you did remember what I told you. Good job I knew you would show. And it looks like you've met Marcus. How nice of you."

"Well the only reason I remembered it was because you wouldn't let me forget about it for years and now that I'm here I can finally forget about this once I leave. So Giovanni, what exactly am I doing here anyways?"

Giovanni shut the door behind the other two people that came in with him. It looked like that he had something under his arms but I don't know what exactly it could be. Ramsa moved the fish so Giovanni could set down the items. But when he saw the fish he had a perplexed look on his face. I had a blush of embarrassment on my face.

"Sorry Giovanni. I sort of got hungry and had to get some fresh meat in me. I used some of the money that was left over. I really didn't know what I was thinking." He put his hand up for me to stop and smiled.

"It's okay Marcus. It's my fault. I should have gave you some food before I left but I didn't." I didn't know what to say to that so I just nodded. Giovanni then set out the different items on the table and I looked at what I saw. There were swords, axes, and different kind of bombs and even assortment of rope. I didn't know what Giovanni and the others were planning. But I knew it wouldn't end well.
