Chapter 10

Jacks POV :
Today we were leaving California and going off home to New York . I'm not gonna lie when I say I'll miss this place . I mean Katherine and I didn't have to work here and as soon as we get home we will . I wish we didn't have to . "Jack ? Come on , we're leaving now , before the paparazzi finds out " "okay ." I said we walked to the car after our goodbyes with her family . Luis and Marie had flown out three days prior and now Katherine and I where going home .

We sat in car as it drown back down the path it came to . Katherine stayed quiet . "What's wrong ?" I asked moving closer to her . "Promise me you won't act like you did when we first got married and you where angry and frustrated " "I promise you . " I said . She smiled and held me hand . The journey to the airport was a longer journey since we were to fly out of a private airport .
"We'll be home soon , take some time to sleep "

We were back in the car . Only 15 minutes till we reach the palace . "The last time I was rolling up to the palace when I came from California I had never met you " Katherine said putting an arm around my bicep . She rested her head on my shoulder. "This time is different though " I said kissing her forehead.
The palace came up and we drive down . My door was opened . I stood out first and then helped Katherine out . She took my hand and we walked up . "Home sweet home " she said squeezing my hand .

"Jack ! Katherine! Your back !" Medda said walking briskly to us . She hugged is both and pulled away . "Are you pregnant?!" She asked . Katherine's eyes went wide . "No , trust me I took one final test before we came home " "so when will you become pregnant?" She asked "when we're ready " I said , putting my arm around Katherine's waist . "Well , you two settle down . Jack I'm going to have to steal you for a few moments. Some of parliament needs to speak with you " Medda said . Katherine looked at me "can Katherine come ?" "Sorry dear " "okay I'll be upstairs. I'll see you Jack " Katherine said kissing my cheek .

Medda and I walked into the room of parliament. "Hello gentlemen " "King Jack , take a seat . This won't take long " "alright " I said . Medda smiled and left the room .

"Now your majesty . We know you and the Queen are young " one man said "very young " another added "and we get you still would like to enjoy time as a couple " "yes -?" I said "but here's the things , us . Both California and New York Chamber Parliament believe that there is a solution to our problem " "what is the problem?" "Uniting California and New York " "but we got married that's what that did " "yes King Jack it did , but -" "but ?!" "We think it's best for both countries if you two bear an heir " "WHAT ?" I said . "You two need to create a child , both California and New York , so that the country will be safe and secure and will be untied" "gentlemen that's a lot your asking me to do " "Pish Posh King Jack ! It's simple for you ! " "just me !" "She's queen ! She's meant to plan party's , be on postage stamps , bear children ! That's all ! Maybe some charity work !" A man said . "She's so much more than that !" I said back . "We're not saying she isn't but what we're saying is we need a child and look , if we needed her opinion on this we would have had her come too . " "she should have her opinion! Okay ! It's her body !" "Yes it is but it's our counties too !" "You are all crazy !" "King Jack ! That's enough ! You and Queen Katherine are to have a child ! This child must be born within one year ! She must be pregnant within three months ! Or else !" "What ? Or else ?" "Well have you dethroned !" The head man said . I gulped . "Exactly, now I believe we have work to do . Excuses us your majesty l the man said "good bye " I said and walked out .

We have to have a baby ? Katherine and I have only been married for 2 months and know each other for 5ish ! And know we must have a baby ! She and I don't have any choice in this ! And now .... Now we have to ! Or else we'll be dethroned !

"Jack ? What's wrong ?" Davey asked . I shook my head . "Come in sir " he said taking me to his small office .

"Jack ?" "It's Katherine " "are you fighting " " no " "then what's wrong ?" "Can we get out of here ?" "What do you mean ?" "Can we go to a bar ? I just need a drink " "of course Sir " Davey said . Davey took a car and drove us to the closest bar . I looked at my watch .... 9:38 pm. I must have been with parliament for a while.
