Chapter 19

Katherine's POV :

It's been about four months and I've started showing .

It's hard . The throwing up , constant headaches , cravings .

"Katherine ? Time to wake up " Clara said to me in the morning .
"No " I said putting the pillow over my head .

"Katherine , you've slept in long enough . You need to meet with parliament today "

"Tell them I'm ill !"
"I did that yesterday and the day before !"
"No ! Tell Jack to meet with them !"
"Katherine he had been for the past couple days ! They need to speak with both of you !"
"Fine " I said and sat up .

Clara quickly did my hair and makeup then helped me into a dress . "Okay , Jack is already there " she said and walked off .

I made my way to parliament. "Ah ! Queen Katherine! Welcome please take a seat " the head said . I sat down next to Jack .

"How are you feeling ?" The man asked me
"Great " I lied through my teeth .
"And gender ?" "It's going to be a boy .... They think . Because it's still early "
"A boy !? Marvelous! Any names yet ?"
"We've been brainstorming " Jack said .

"Well we didn't just call you in here to talk about the baby . As you know we have been working hard to make the country .... A single country . And it's going very well !"
"That's great "
"Although there was a massive earthquake in Maine , we need to get some troops to help out there . We just need your signatures " "okay " Jack said . He helped me up and we signed "is that it?" "Yes ! Thank you very much " the men said . We walked out .

"How are my two favorite royals ?" "Ugh " "ugh ?!" "He keeps rejecting the food I give him !" "He's got expensive taste " "he does , so names ? We've said Kelly for the last name and that's it " I said .

"Well I like J-" "No Jackson Jr!" "I was going to say Joseph!" "Like my father ? " "yes " "I like that Joseph ...." "Then we can do my father's name . " Jack said "Okay, Joseph Thomas " "he needs another middle name " "Huh .... David ?" "Like Davey ?" "I don't see why not ? He's been your right hand man for a while and he helps us both so much . And since he can't be his god father " "I think that's perfect !" "Great ! Joseph Thomas David Kelly " "Katherine, that's Prince Joseph Thomas David Kelly " "it is .... Just four more months till he's here "I said putting a hand on my stomach .

"Jack ?" "Hm ?" "Are we ready ?" I asked as we stepped into our bedroom .

"What do you mean ?"
"Honey , we've know each other for nine months and have been married for 7! I feel like we should have waited . Even though parliament didn't let us " "me too" "I mean , about 5 and half months ago so hated you know ! Now I'm four months pregnant." "What ? What are you saying ?" "Are we ready ? Jack . We're 18! 18! Okay , we barley old enough to live on our own ! Let alone be married , run a country and have a baby ! What if ? What if we fail ?" "Honey , I love you -" "and I love you Jack "
"And I know it's scary to have a baby so soon . We don't just have our lives and that babies to take care of , we have a whole country . But I promise you . We're gonna be a family . Sometimes I'll be gone . Sometimes you'll be gone . Sometimes I'll work late . Sometimes you'll work law . I know . It's gonna be hard . But Katherine I swear that I will do everything in my power for us to be a family " Jack said .

"Okay ," I then took a deep breath and hugged Jack . "I promise " "me too " I said .

"What was that ?" "You felt it ?!" "Yeah ? What was that ?" "The baby's kicking !" I said . Jack looked at me bugged eyed . "Does it hurt " "not , oh Jack feel this !" I said bad moved his hand to the left . "Oh my god !" "Hurry ! We better find Medda and Amelia!" I said .

We ran down the hall into the women's chamber .

"No men allowed ?!" "The baby's kicking !" Jack said . Medda and my mother smiled and quickly stood up . The both placed a hand on my stomach .

"Oh my goodness !" "How wonderful !" The kept moving their hands over my bump .

"Jack ? That's your baby !" My mother said . "And your grandchild " he said to my mother . "And yours too Medda " I said placing my hand atop of hers . She smiled at me and then they continued to feel the baby kick .

"Boy , he's a strong kicker . And kicking a lot " "Oh my ! " slowly the baby stopped kicking .

"We've decided on a name " I said "what is it ?"

"Joseph Thomas David Kelly " Jack said . "Joseph after dad , Thomas after Jack's father -" "David ?" "After Davey of course. And Kelly well , that's just our last name " "Just Kelly ?"my mother asked "she's right Kath , Prince Joseph Thomas David Larkin Pulitzer Kelly" Jack said . Medda smiled at the though of Larkin , her late husbands and her last name in there .

Jacks POV :

It was night time . Katherine was brushing her teeth in the bathroom . I was just watching television and reading a baby magazine on my tablet.

"Hey Kathy ?" "Yes ?" "Did you know at 4 months , or 16 weeks pregnant the baby is is about the size of an avocado" "interesting " she said and began to floss .

"And the baby's face muscles are formed and the baby can make expressions " "cool" she said .

"And .... The baby's skin is translucent and if you looked the baby you could see its blood vessels and all " "that's gross " she said and then took a brush to comb out her hair .

"The baby can now suck it's thumb because his joints are all formed " "I think I should take the baby app away from you " Katherine said laughing .

"Ow , ow , ow " Katherine said . Her hand in her back . "Kathy ? Are you okay ?" "Yeah , just a little kicking " she took my hand and put it on her stomach. "Honey , he's kicking just as hard as earlier" "I know , -" she then threw me out of the bathroom and locked the door .

"Katherine? You okay ?" "Fine " she said and then the toilet flushed .

"Morning sickness -" "why do the call it morning sickness if it happens all the time ?" I asked her "I don't know baby " she said and then went to brush her teeth again .

She stood in front of the sink , I wrapped my arms around her waist and put my head on her shoulder .

"I'm carrying one Kelly , not two!" She said . I then placed a soft kiss on her neck . "Jack " she said airy . "Hmmm ?" I mumbled against her neck . She closed her eyes and put her toothbrush back .

She tilted her head to the side so I would have more room . "I love you " I said kissing her shoulder . I slipped her nightgown strap down a tad . "Jack , -" "hmm ?" She pushed me away and threw up again ..... It's something I rather not see ....
