Katherine's POV :

I've told Jack I've been pregnant about a couple days ago and tonight is the dinner . We've gone through it and so far no one knows . Not Medda , not my mother , not Jonas , Not Davey not Clara . No one . Currently Clara was braiding small strands of my hair for tonight .

It was Jack and I'd first state dinner of our marriage. "Katherine? Are you alright ? You seem pale " "fine, just a tad hungry " "it seems like your always hungry " Clara said as she went back to braiding my hair . "I will be for sometime " I said under my breath . Clara looked up . "What did you say ?" "Nothing " "Katherine, are you ? Are you pregnant ?!" "No !" I said quickly "Katherine your pregnant!" "No I'm not ........." She then looked at me , crossing her hands over her chest . "Okay -" "Oh my goodness!"she screamed "shhhh ! If Jack finds out I told you he'd kill me " "Katherine! This is amazing ! When will you two be telling everyone ?!" "Tonight !" "Oh my god-" "Katherine? What's going on ?" Jack said walking in .

"Nothing !" Clara said and went back to my hair "she found out -" "about ?" "The baby " "what ?! How ?!" "She said I looked pale and I said something under my breath and .... Well " I said "Clara , you can't tell anyone about this ! Okay ?!" "Okay ! But congratulations " "thank you " Jack said and hugged her . "Hey ! I'm the one with the baby !" Then the both hugged me .

"I'm going to get ready . " Jack said and kissed my lips . "Bye " I said .

Clara finished my hair and helped me into a dress . It was a deep purple. She the put my crown . "Alright , do you what heels ?" "Yes . " I said . She came back with gorgeous purple heels with diamonds . She then sat me down on the ottoman . "Right " "Left " she then had them perfectly .

"Katherine ? - wow " Jack said coming out in his suit and his hair and crown ready . "You like it ?" I asked twirling , the dress flowing all around me . "Your .... Stunning I love it ..." He then went to hug me "but it's gonna be a shame when I take it off of you tonight " he did into my ear .

"Ready ?" "Ready " I said and he took my hand . "Bye your three ! " Clara said and then we left our room .

We arrived at the state dinner. There was music and people dancing . I clutched onto jacks shoulder "you okay ?" "Woozy , " I said "it's the baby " "shhh " I said . "Honey let's sit you down okay ?" "Yeah " Jack then took my hand and say my down at the Royal table .

"I'm going to say hello to Medda and Amelia . Is that okay ?" "Sure go ahead . I'll see you " I said . Jack kissed my cheek and went to say hello to the women .

"Kathy Kat ?" I looked and saw Luis and Marie . "Luis ! Marie , I'm glad you could make it !" "What ? And miss my little sisters first state dinner ?!" "You look stunning Katherine " Marie said "thank you . So do you ..." "It's weird Kath " "I know " "dads usually here " Luis said "he's here in spirit " I said "yeah , .... Marie and I are going to see Jonas . We heard he's been kinda down " "yeah , since Jack has to work during the day Jonas lost his playmate " "oh , well , we'll be back " Marie said , her very pregnant stomach showing .

"Katherine?" "Jack " "I know your dizzy yet we need to dance " "okay , just don't spin me too much " "I would never spin you two too much " he said smiling . I took his hand and we walked to the center of the ballroom .

He placed a hand around my waist and I put one on his shoulder and held part of my dress in the other .

"You make a beautiful queen " Jack said "and your going to make a great mother " "you think ?" "I know " "when are we telling everyone ?" "At the toast I do before dinner " "how ?" "You'll see ... Or hear " then an opera singer stood in front of the orchestra.

We clapped and she began another song .

"How are you feeling ?" "Okay , when do we eat , we're hungry " "after this song darling " his said . "And do we have to keep dancing ?!" "Well I thought we might as well " Jack said "okay "

We had talked the whole song .

Jack and I made our way to our table .

Jack lifted his champagne glass . "Ladies and gentleman. Thank you all for coming to the annul state dinner . As many as you know this is both a California and New York Tradition! And we are happy to say this is now an New Cal York tradition ! This dinner is meant to invite our allies and friends to have a meal together and just enjoy each other's company .

Recently we've lost the Duke Joseph Michael Edward Pulitzer. Queen Katherine's father . Tonight this dinner is in his honor .

As we eat dinner with our allies we throw away the old wars ! We celebrate life and death .

And speaking of life . Queen Katherine and I have a wonderful announcement. Queen Katherine is with child !

Thank you all so much for coming and please enjoy !"Jack said . There was much applause and cheering . Cameras were flashing and filming .

"How I do ?" Jack asked sitting back down . "Perfect , just Perfect" I said and kissed him shortly yet sweetly .

"Wow , were gonna have a baby "
"Crazy right ?"

Then Medda came up walking . "Jackson !" Then he gulped and took a drink of water.

"How come you kept this from me"
"We kept it from everyone aunt Medda , it's nothing against you but more importantly it's to give the people something to celebrate!"
"Okay ? When is she due ?"
"Kath ?"
"April "
"Around your anniversary! "
"Yes "

Medda walked away and through the night we got many congratulations and blessing of good health .

Finally Jack and I went upstairs to our room .

"So the world knows "Jack said taking off his jacket "they do " I said and sat down to take off my heels .

"You know ? They never ever show this part in the movies "
"What part ?"
"Where there taking off their beautiful gowns and putting on sweats " Jack said . "That would put a damper of some little girls dream "

"A baby " Jack said taking off his bow tie and shirt . "I know " I said back now unzipping my dress .

I went behind the changing curtain . I out on a night gown . Once I finished Jack was sitting in bed. He had on an old t-shirt and a par of faded flannel pants . I slipped into the bed with him .

"So much royalty in one bed " "yeah " I said . Jack out his hand on my stomach "Katherine ?"

"Hm ?" "Do you want a boy or girl ?" "I don't know ?!" "I want both " "woah there mister ! One baby at a time please " I said tapping his chest . "Okay ? Maybe a little boy " "yes I don't want a girl " "why ?" "You would spoil her rotten !" "So ?!" "Oh come on . She would not know what the word no means !" "But she would be just as sassy as you "
