Chapter Six
Eve knew something was wrong. She sent out the signal a week ago and nobody had showed up in Italy. She got worried and hacked into the security cameras at the airport they had all left in. She found out where the other girls had gone and went to Japan first to find Sasha. If she had been found, the others had to have been too.
After the girls entered stores, Eve never saw them come out. She knew they must have changed their appearances, but it would take weeks to go through facial recognition to find them, and Eve didn't have that time. For all she knew, neither did her friends.
"Hannah, Where's Eve?" Sasha asked, "She's never been in here so what if...she's dead. It makes sense why she would hate Eve the most!" Sasha argued. Hannah shook her head "We don't even know if she's behind it," Eva laughed "Her name is Dina, she's not Voldemort you can say her name," Sasha sent her a dirty look. "I'm glad you think this is funny Eva. Considering it was your bright idea to try and kill her," Hannah stepped in before things got serious "You guys stop it. We saw Eve shoot her and we buried her ourselves so deep she would never be found," "Then who did we see?" Eva asked. Nobody had a response to that.
"They still think I'm working alone," Dina said to the person sitting next to her. They smiled "How naive, They'll never see me coming" they said. "Not till it's over" Dina promised.
"Where was the last place you saw her?" the officer asked Mamoru again. He let out a frustrated sigh. "The subway station RIGHT DOWN THE ROAD!" he yelled. "Sir, you need to calm down and give me her description one more time," the officer told him. After giving Sasha's description for what felt like the millionth time, Mamoru finally left the police station. Sasha had been missing for weeks and he was worried out of his mind. He had searched all over the city and all her favorite spots, but she was nowhere. Deep down, he knew it had to be connected to what happened in Italy, but he couldn't exactly explain that to the police.
In Italy, the police were at a loss with Lisa's murder. Someone was trying to destroy everything about the evidence...including going to the extreme of stealing her body. Agents Polizzi, Lappin, Cory, Lane, and Struck were assigned the murder which made sense since they were still hunting the other four girls. They had tracked Hannah to Australia, but she clearly had run to another place. It wouldn't be long before they found her and her friends.
Agent Polizzi took charge of Lisa's murder. He was new to the FBI Italy location and lived in a small house with his girlfriend and sister. He was stubborn and ambitious. The perfect field agent.
Agent Lappin was in charge of the hunt for Sasha. He had been in FBI Italy location for three years. He lived with his two brothers and nephew. Smart, cunning, and professional he is the perfect agent to connect the pieces.
After being in the bureau for ten years, Agent Cory was definitely considered one of the best. His assignment was to be in charge of the hunt for Eva. He lives with his wife, mother and father, and his son, Mamoru. His son had been acting strange and Cory suspected a girl was to blame. He could only hope his son wouldn't get distracted.
The newest member of the team, Agent Lane was the most computer smart so he was the perfect agent not only to track the girls digitally, but also be in charge of finding Eve. Lane lived by himself in a small apartment with his dog.
Agent Struck was under a lot of pressure after his first failed attempt at capturing Hannah. He had been at the Italian location second longest. Struck lived with his fiance and grandpa in a two bedroom house.
The unit had made as much progress in finding the girls as they had in the murder case. All the agents had been receiving pressure and they all were about to receive a big break in their cases.
Back to the cellar room, Hannah, Sasha, and Eva were discussing their first year of high school. Eva was talking about their very first day of high school.
"I can't believe we have almost no classes together," Lisa complained. "I know, but at least we have lunch and math together!" Sasha said trying to cheer everyone up. It didn't matter, they all still had pouting faces. When the first bell rang to go to class Hannah stopped them "Okay guys, this is our first day as freshman. We will NOT spend it pouting. This is our chance to make the perfect first impression, let's get it done," she encouraged. Although, considering she slipped on a jacket when she turned around it didn't give much encouragement. At lunch, the girls had so many stories to tell each other. Who would've thought it would be that easy to be without each other.
5 envelopes arrived at the police station in Italy. Each of them addressed to one of the FBI Agents. They took turns reading them out loud. Agent Polizzi was first, his was from Dina, a name never previously involved with the investigation.
To Agent Polizzi;
I understand you have had some...interruptions in the investigation of the murder of the secret heel member, Lisa. I'm the source of those interruptions, but today I right to you with the intention to help. I happen to be in possession of the location of your killer. I would love to hand this information over to you, under one condition. Give up searching for the heels. When I get my hands on them you'll find them six feet under. Maybe only three. Those backstabbers don't deserve the effort of six. Your killer is Evelyn Grace and I'm the only one that can find her.
Next, was the letter to Agent Lappin read his next, it was from Sasha
To Agent Lappin;
Me again. I'm assuming you heard about Lisa's murder. I really hope you find the bastard. You know, I ran into an old friend, Evelyn. Lovely girl. Of course, she's been in jail for awhile. She killed our friend, Dina. Evelyn always claimed she was set up. I wonder who would do that to a girl like her. Maybe someone who had secrets to hide. It's crazy though. Clack, Clack, Clack and your best friend is in jail. Oh, one more thing. Let's meet. In Italy, at the warehouse where you found Lisa. A week from the day you get this letter. Three a.m sharp. Don't be late or you won't hear a confession. Only the clacking of my heels as I walk away.
Agent Cory read his from Eva.
To Agent Cory;
Did you miss me? Surely you didn't think we were just going to go away. You and your colleagues did the impossible. You caught us. Of course, you never proved anything before we so easily escaped you. I bet you want to know what we whispered right? I'll make you a deal. Meet me at the crime scene where Lisa died a week from when you get this letter. three a.m sharp. Don't be late or you'll hear as much of my confession as you did of that whisper.
Then, the letter from Eve to Agent Lane
To Agent Lane;
I bet you weren't planning on hearing from me. I can't only imagine the heat you got for letting us get away. I almost feel bad...almost. Oh, and the fact that you think you can hold a candle to my hacking skills is adorable...like a baby eating candy. I'm honored you choses computers to try and catch me, but you aren't nearly good enough. If you want to hear some hacking tips and maybe a confession or two meet me at the warehouse a week from the day you get this. Three a.m sharp, don't be late or the only thing you'll hear is that old computer of yours running. Hacking tip number one, use a computer from this decade.
Finally, Agent Struck's letter from Hannah
To Agent Struck
I wonder what the look on your face was when you realized we had broken out. A lot has changed since then. I got a new hairstyle. Not the one from Australia though. That was a nice try in Australia though, but it won't be that easy to catch me. I'll give you another chance. The warehouse, three a.m sharp. Don't be late or you'll see me as much there as you did in Australia.
The five Agents looked at each other in shock. So many thoughts were running through their minds. Should they go to the warehouse? Is it a trap? Who is Dina? Most importantly, Who is Evelyn Grace and did she really kill Lisa?
Back to the room with the cameras. Dina watched the three girls through a camera. Her partner walked through the door. Dina smelt coffee and smiled. "So, this is how it ends?" She asked turning to face the gun. "Yea it is," her partner said. "I should've known better than to think you could do this to them, Will you do the same to Evelyn?" Dina asked. "She has it coming, more than even you do," Lisa said. Then, a gunshot rang out.
